On Tuesday (yes, tomorrow!) Charleston Fashion Week begins and the tents will be full of pretty and well dressed people.  As you know, I’ll be under the tents taking it all in to report back to you.  But first I need your help!

Which outfit should I wear to the opening night?

OPTION (A)

I’m not the only one who wants your opinion.  Everyone’s favorite swimwear designer, Marysia Reeves, is once again a CFW judge.  She wants you to weigh in on what she should wear to the opening night show too.  Trust me, she’s put together two amazing ensembles for you to choose from.  So head over and help a girl out!  But first, allow me to brag on my sweet and insanely talented friend…
The past 2 months have been super exciting as Marysia’s swimsuits made it into the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

Her Karoline suit is worn by Vanessa Hudgens on April’s cover of Shape Magazine.

And her Tiki bikini is featured in April’s issue of Vogue.
See, I told you – major talent.  I’m so happy for her.  But enough of the gushing, there are wardrobe decisions to be made!  So pretty please leave me a comment and tell me, should I wear Option A or Option B.  And then please go vote on Marysia’s beautiful blog too and tell her which outfit you’re feeling for her!  If you’re not already following Marysia now is the perfect time to do it.  It’s one of my most favorites.  You know, the kind where you click over immediately if you see it’s been updated…
Can’t wait to see your picks!
xoxo,

Admittedly, while I’m not a big fan of the name of the shop, I am an avid lover of what’s in Nasty Gal’s store.  It’s on my rotation for frequent check ins of new and fun merchandise.  The sort of pieces that say “I don’t take myself too seriously”.  Here’s a quick look at what’s in store that I’m currently liking.

And let’s not forget this long tail skirt.
Be sure to keep an eye on their vintage collection too.

Get ye to Nasty Gal, because our mother’s always told us to never judge a book by it’s cover.

I love pouring over kids’ rooms.  They can so easily pull off the quirky and cool effect.  There’s no shortage of brilliant nurseries out there, but for funsies let’s add another one to the mix.

Maria from Layers of Meaning designed this nursery for her son Jack {pictured above and oh so precious}.  A boy’s room that is calming, well designed, and cool?  That’s hard to do.
Of course it was that back wall that first gained my adoration.  Her use of the Ferm Living Wilderness wallpaper is brilliant.  I love the little details she added to the room too, including all of the pops of black throughout.

Maria posted all of the resources if you would like to see more.

Tomorrow I am participating in a blogger day of silence in honor of the victims of Japan’s earthquake and tsunami.  I generally try to keep this blog lighthearted {obviously you don’t come here to read the news…} but I feel that this is
one small way
I can acknowledge the current devastation taking place in our big yet small world.
Let’s all hold our loved ones a little tighter.
If you feel called to donate, let this serve as a reminder.

I have a Cy Twombly script print leaning on a console table in my home. Many of you have seen this if you’ve see my home tour.  Like so many, I’m a big fan of his work.  Unfortunately, his originals are {way} out of my price range.  His prints on the other hand are very affordable.  I love his Book Plate VI print.

I think you could put this print just about anywhere, but really think it could be incredible in a child’s room.

As if my weekend away in Vegas wasn’t great enough, I came home to an exquisite birthday package of these goodies from my Stella & Dot sponsor, Annette.  She really showed the love.

I was speechless.  And let me tell you, they’re even more gorgeous in person.  Really.  Especially that Marrakesh necklace = must have!!  I think I’m ready for spring and Charleston Fashion Week!
