I should begin my Blogfest recap by telling you that I told Newell Turner (aka Editor in Chief of House Beautiful) that he rocks my face off.  It brought a good laugh from him, and my crush grew even stronger.

He’s seriously awesome, and so were the rest of the Editors that came in to chat.
{I snagged this photo from Bryn’s awesome recap post.  PS LOVE her.}
And there were plenty of opportunities for socializing with blog friends…
{My roomie Amanda from Recycled Consign & Design, Me, Bryn Alexandra, and Amanda from Casa Brasi}

A couple of shots from the Joss & Main and Design TV party.

 {Me, Christine from Bijou and Boheme, and Amanda}

{Chanee from Melongings, Amanda, Amanda, Me, Janell from House of Fifty and Isabella & Max, and Bryn}
I can’t believe the lack of photos I took with everyone, but I also got to see Traci Zeller, Sue from The Zhush, Jen of Made By Girl, Erin of Elements of Style, Amy of Plain and Fancy Living, Amy of Eye See Pretty, Meredith Heron, Beth from Hello Splendor and soooo many others.
Beth Greene really did an amazing job putting together the whole event.  She’s quite a looker too!  The lineup they brought to us was fantastic.  We were able to tour the Elle Decor Modern Life Concept House.
{Another photo snagged from Bryn, she brough her big camera and got lots of good ones.}
Had a beautiful lunch in the Hearst building.  There were peonies everywhere.  Good move.  Bloggers love peonies.
We had tea with Barbara Barry in the Kravet Showroom.

And check out Amanda’s cute twisted buns updo.

We also got to meet amazing designers like Thomas O’Brien, Suzanne Kasler, Eric Cohler, David Easton…  and they signed our Inspired Styles book that we were all given.

{Photo snagged from Janell of her and Thomas O’Brien}
The AMAZING Margaret Russell, formally of Elle Decor and the new Editor in Chief at Architectural Digest.  I was in awe of her.  We all were.  This picture is awful, but it’s all I have.
Margaret was also gracious enough to pose for group pictures. I sadly had to abandon ship for this one though b/c bloggers can be aggresive and I didn’t want to be trampled!
We also toured Kravet’s Design Studio.  This was pretty cool to get the scoop on their fabrics.

And Blogfest ended with a “Sweet Ending” party with surprise guest Thom Filicia.
Oh, and for those of you who like this stuff, I stayed at the Ace Hotel and it was fantastic.  Would I stay there with my husband?  Probably not.  But it was the perfect venue for this trip.

There you have it.  Blogfest was an opportunity that I’m so thankful I was offered.  Thank you so much to everyone involved for creating such an lovely experience!

I made it back!  Blogfest was fan-freaking-tastic!  Saw lot of cool things, lots of cool people, and ate a lot of good stuff too.  I can’t wait to share the details with you all.  But it will have to wait… b/c I’m exhausted.  And all my mind can do right now is put together this little post.

But I will tell you this… it rained A LOT while I was in NYC.  The whole time.  Seriously.

The Whole Time.

{And I would have just died without those little patent leather Tory Burch flats.
Next on list, fancy rainboots.  Mine are way too casual to take to NYC!}
The rain wreaked havoc on travel too.  I didn’t get home until much much too late.  Maybe I’ll sneak in a nap today?
But I do so love NYC.  Looking forward to heading back there next month….
C a n n o t   w a i t  to tell you why :)

So thrilled to have the design darling Mackenzie here today.  You surely know her from her blog, if not from Rue Magazine.  She’s helping us get a great look today, featuring two of my favorite colors!  Take it away Mack!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi there! I’m Mackenzie from Design Darling and I’m excited to be filling in for Chassity while she takes New York by storm. Those who have read my “about” page know my favorite color combination is navy blue and hot pink — and I couldn’t resist the temptation to share it with you today!
This space from the pages of Style at Home takes my breath away: the linen-esque wall covering, the bright white wainscoting, the chic navy sofa, the crisp white piping, the hot pink throw… Literally I would move in this instant and not change a thing. Thankfully I’ll settle for recreating the look in my own home with some of these pieces:
I love the contrast of vintage-inspired ceramics and more modern elements like the graphic and ikat throw pillows. You could easily get the look for less by reupholstering an old sofa or a Craigslist find in navy velvet and giving an existing side table a fresh coat of paint. What do we think?!
Love the look Mackenzie!  Thanks so much for stopping by today and visiting all of my amazing readers!  XO
So today we have one of my new favs visiting – so super excited… welcome AmberSurely you all know her blog, it rocks my face off everyday.  Girl has TALENT.  See…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi Look Linger Lovers! Amber here from Amber Interiors. I was super thrilled when Chassity asked me to guest post while she was shmoozing it up at BlogFest 2011. Ummm, raise your hand if your jealous!!!! Anyways, I had free reign to post about whatever I wanted to, so I took some inspiration from all the flowers blooming in Sunny Southern California and those amazing new curtains hanging in the offices of Lonny Mag. Have you seen them? You must…here.
 I usually try not to go to feminine in my designs, but I am dying to bring some of these bold florals into someones house!  Plus Chassity has such a feminine and pretty sense of style I thought a touch of lady-vibes would fit in just swell.  What do you lovers think?
Would you flower power a whole room or at least add a bit-o`-petals?

Told you you’d love her.  Thanks so much for helping me out today Amber!  xoxo.
