A big thanks to the Glitter Guide team for featuring me on their beautiful site yesterday. Caitlin Moran was yet again a doll to work with and put together a very generous and complimentary article. An adieu of sorts to my old home, it was bittersweet to have a final photo shoot in the house before we moved out.

My friend Charlotte Elizabeth (who just had her baby Sunday, congrats Char!!) took these photos. She’s such a rockstar. Thanks for making me look better than I really do, Charlotte!

And why do I always feel the need to take one of these pictures?? Ridiculous. Anyway, I do miss this  wallpaper.

Oh, and unlike my last Glitter Guide feature (see that one from 2011 here), there was no “project skinny arm” photoshopping done to these pictures. I just couldn’t do it after opening up about it in this post here (which I highly recommend you all go read through those comments). But I’ll admit… I was reaaaaally tempted to ask Charlotte to skim away a little on my arm in this particular shot…

Oh well, keeping it real, right? :)

You can read the Style At Home article here. Good bye old home. It was a wonderful 3 years :)

Last week Stacy Smallwood of Hampden Clothing hosted designers Lizzie Fortunato (LLL favorite for sure) and Timo Weiland (a new LLL favorite for sure) for a little trunk show party of sorts. Only it wasn’t very little. It had my favorite food truck (Roti Rolls), a dj (DJ Jazz), great decor thanks to Hampden’s visual director Haley Spees, and plenty of champagne to keep me happy.

Oh, and LF’s and Timo’s latest collections. Which are insane. And I had the good fortune to meet up with Elizabeth, Kathryn, Timo, and Stacy for a couple of drinks before the event started.

Now that is a fun crew. I asked them all sorts of fun questions, like what blogs they read: Timo reads Growing Wild On Every Hillside. Lizzie & Kathryn like Refinery 29 and Decade Diary. Who their style muses are: Timo’s is Steve McQueen and Lizzie’s is Caroline Issa (Tank’s editor). Where do they draw inspiration? Timo’s inspired by his friends and the sail and surf culture. Lizzie is inspired by traveling, different materials, and browsing flea markets (her favorite is the Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market on 25th Chelsea). What’s their greatest extravagance? Timo’s is long weekends spent hotel hopping with his boyfriend Jeff (they like the Cowshed at Soho House, Hurley Stone House, & Wing’s Castle). Kathryn loves Barrio Chino’s tacos in NYC and 3 am club sandwiches at Hotel Coste in Paris. And Lizzie loves leaving the city and heading to Saugerties, riding in taxi cabs, and really expensive dry cleaning, specifically King’s Dry Cleaning (love that answer!).
Really fun people. Afterwards we moseyed on down to the party.

Beautiful collections and space. I love a Hampden party. They just do it so well. I loved meeting you Timo, Kathryn, and Lizzie. I’m looking forward to adding more pieces to my fall wardrobe. It’s all so good (especially those clutches!). You can shop LF’s collection here and Timo’s collection here.

Did you all have a great weekend? I sure did. But I left my phone out in the rain Saturday afternoon and it’s still not working. Damn. I miss it. A whole lot.

Anyway, I’ve been painting the last few weeks and finally have some complete. Last night I added 9 new pieces to my art shop.

You’ll need to head over to check ’em. Hope your week is off to a great start. Fingers crossed my phone turns on for me today.

I know. You totally expect finished and styled and beautiful images of our new home. Alas I don’t have that for you. But I can show you a (pre-filled) corner of our master closet. I wanted an industrial and eclectic looking space as opposed to the traditional closet at our old home (see that feature here).

So I’m using a bookcase we already had for my shoe and purse storage. And we just used inexpensive black iron piping to build our rod system. That crystal chandy is pretty special too, it was original to the home. So happy we could use it. I love the way this room turned out.
Happy weekend, Everyone!

So how cute is this lil shop? By the name of Fine Little Day, I think they could make my days a little finer…

with their teacups…

 and their cutting boards…

their pillows…

 wallpapers…

and blankets too…

Random Happenings…

My August J.Crew Shoe Club pair showed up. Mine are the dusty jade color. So pretty with the gold heel.

Early Thursday eve I’m having drinks with the Lizzie Fortunato sisters, Elizabeth and Kathryn, before their trunk show at Hampden Clothing (which starts at 6, be there if you’re local!). You know I’m a fan of their line… Can’t wait to see the new jewels and hang with those talented gals.
Geesh I’m holding that clutch out loud and proud, huh!

I’m making my first trip to Salt Lake City in January for ALT. Major pumped. Anyone else going? It’s going to be The Best Time Ever.

Josh painted his rocking horse from when he was a kid. Lilly is happy happy.
Which should pretty much leave all of you feeling happy happy the rest of the day. Have a good one.
