Today Gap Inc. announced that they will be shutting down Piperlime. This not only shocks me but saddens me as well. I’ve been a fan of the site for years (it opened in 2006). I’ve especially loved Olivia Palermo’s Edit with all of her top picks. It will remain open through April and then Gap Inc plans to focus on boosting sales for it’s namesake as well as Banana Republic (y’all know Marissa Webb is BR’s new creative director).

Regardless, Piperlime is still receiving new spring shipments and continues to have amazing sales (which we can expect to see more of). Here are some of my favorite current pieces in their collection.

piperlime spring

blue dress, blue sandals, clutchcobalt skirt,

sheer stripe topsunglasses, wrap dressespadrilles,

floral skirt, scallop flats, teal teecaged dress

That black & white wrap dress is so very DFV but only $89. Love the little scallop flats, too. I’ve always appreciated Piperlime’s feminine and youthful aesthetic.

Update: Take 25% off all full priced items!

TGIF y’all! Here’s a little of my life lately…

I think I’ve mentioned I’m on a “spruce up the house” kick. Something about the new year. But that involves moving things around. Makes things feel fresh, don’t you think? Bowls, marble/wood chessboards, similar sconce.

Treasuring nap time with this guy. He’ll grow out of it soon and I will really miss this quiet and sweet one on one time we have before he falls asleep. Nap time is just so much easier than bedtime around here.

Lilly’s wild hair don’t care. Rug found here. Similar trench coat here.

Got this handy dish (get it?) and it’s perfect for housing jewelry or whatnot things. Here they’re holding my turquoise tassel earrings.

One of many pretty sun sets in our ‘hood. There’s not much to dislike about a pink sky.

Been thinking a lot about this room by Target. I mean, that bench and that little table!!

Oh look our playroom is picked up. Better snap a pic! LOVE our fun Let’s Run Amok banner.

We are refinishing an old desk that we’ve had for awhile and I wanted a fun color. I ended up choosing that lower purple color and I’m pretty pumped. We need more purple in our lives. It’s Benjamin Moore California Lilac and I’m liking that it’s a color I don’t see used often.

This stripe top is right out of yesterday’s morning blog post! Remember the dramatic turtleneck comment? So fun! Ladder available here.

Another day, another collage of lady things. Because that’s what we do around here.

spring fashion

floral coverup, pink bagblack shorts, bra,

sunglassesheart heels, bucket bagwink clutch,

stripe topcream top + skirtpink dress (more colors here)

I have that Spanx all around bra and love it – great for everyday and for minimizing. How fun is that pom pom bucket bag? And I want to try on that pink dress, looks very flattering. Oh oh and that exaggerated turtleneck top!! Love the drama it adds to a simple stripe crop top.

I’m finding this story that Greatist published totally fascinating. They took a closer look at body ideals over the last 100 years and the results are crazy. Take a look.

Goes to show that “body ideals” are trendy and that you should just love and embrace what your momma gave ya. But really, a bread diet?? Also, now I’ll be singing ZZ Top in my dreams tonight.
