So I don’t bring it up here very much, but I am a big reader. I read 1 book a week on average, sometimes more if I’m traveling or have extra time. I’ve been like this since childhood where I would devour Sweet Valley High and Baby Sitter Club books in nearly a day (we lived in the country and sometimes I just didn’t want to play outside). My reading slowed down a little after having kids because I found it hard to take the time to look for a good book with the kids chattering with me in the aisle. But now that I have my Kindle Paperwhite I’m back at it because I can download books in a hot second. I stay up later than I should thanks to this little hobby but I can’t help myself. In my defense, I rarely watch tv.

I know summer is over and that is when a lot of people like to dive into a good novel, but I wanted to share 9 of my favorite recently read books with y’all anyway. Disclaimer: I lean toward girly, easy reads.

  19. I am so excited that you shared this list with us! I am a big reader too, but found that I didn’t read more than a book this summer… ridiculous. Your reading style is very much my reading style, so I cannot wait to try some of these out!!!

I actually thought Gone Girl was a terrible book. I had such high hopes for it, but it was filled with people who had zero redeeming qualities.
