I’m feeling happy to see Urban Outfitters’ effort to buy more handmade and ethically sourced products for their customer base. They recently picked up Charleston’s own Harper Poe’s socially conscious Proud Mary line. I asked Harper how this partnership is going and she said that because Urban Outfitters has such strong buying power their buying choices can really make an impact. Harper works with global artisans in the developing world where these impacts will really be felt. Bravo!
Also worth noting is how pretty Urban Outfitters’ site is now, much improvement from the past. Go see what’s new! I bought this dress in two different colors because they’re just so great – fit and feel like a dream.
