Charleston Gals – how pumped are we to have a beautiful new C. Wonder shop open up on King Street? I know I’m excited. I stopped in briefly for the opening party last week but it was so packed that I could barely browse around. And there is a lot of pretty to browse. So I hope y’all will come and join me this Tuesday night, September 24th from 7 – 9 pm at C. Wonder to check out the new store and see what’s new.

I’m so excited to tell y’all about the StyleList x NMRKT fashion show event during New York Fashion Week. It was seriously so much fun and I was pinching myself to get to be a part of it. StyleList is one of my favorite sites and the group of ladies that I work with there are all top notch amazing – I’m honored to be a part of their network. And Julia of NMRKT is pretty freaking awesome too. She absolutely blew me away with her cool demeanor all while pulling off an event of this caliber.

I along with 19 other publishers, like Emily from Ivory Lane, Arielle from Something Navy, and Kendal of Metropolitan Thread, each styled a model for the runway show event that took place on the roof of the Hudson Hotel.

My model looked ah-ma-zing in the look that I curated for the event (she even scored the cover for the article!). She’s wearing a Marysia Swim bikini and skirt, Lizzie Fortunato necklace, bracelet, and clutch (which sadly you can’t see the front of in this picture), and Sol Sana heels.

Had to snap a pic with my model and Marysia Reeves, the swimwear designer and my bud.

In the photo below I’m with my friend Gray Benko and I styled her outfit for the event – she’s in this ruched turtleneck dress (only $130), this asymmetrical jersey jacket, and these schutz heels. I’m wearing a vintage dress found through my friend Jess James. My heeled booties are from J.Crew but unavailable now – here is a similar pair.

In the image below I’m being interviewed for Taxi TV. NBD.

Such a crazy fun time. Thanks to Tide for sponsoring and Gino DePinto/AOL for the photographs. If you would like to see the Taxi Cab video ad of the event check it out here.

Happy Tuesday! Josh and I spent a long weekend in Vegas with some friends so I’ve been having the best time catching up on all the new arrivals and such. There is so much pretty out there right now. The LLL Boutique is pretty well stocked right now with all the great new fall items, but here are a few fun favorites.

Today is a favorite everything kind of outfit day. Maybe it’s because it’s all black… told y’all I was on a kick. But it’s probably all thanks to these new J Brand Photo Ready Denim jeans because they are ah-freaking-mazing. Like, suck you in and lose 8 lbs amazing. I’ve never seen anything like it.

I’ve been wearing this stacked rounds necklace from Anthropologie around a lot lately and have had so many compliments. It’s a nice statement necklace that can be worn with so much.  I love the clinky sound it makes and it has a nice weight. I regularly peruse Anthropologie’s jewelry, I always love their earring selection, too.

And we must address the shoes. I admit they’re not mine. I borrowed them from Gray. I’ve been helping her revamp her fall wardrobe and these Schutz Webbed Pumps were pretty much the number one heel that I sent her way. I’m SO glad she got them b/c they’re amazing in every way and I get to borrow them. Woop Woop!! They look like they’re high end designer but don’t have the price tag.

If you’re looking for an amazing every day or every night kind of top check out this Rachel Pally Peplum Top. It’s jersey fabric makes it swingy and heavy. I love it! And below you get a close up of my new ring that my friend Kate Davis made for me. It’s so special because it’s both Lilly and Fletcher’s birthstones. A keeper for sure. She makes amazing pieces. Kate made all my bridesmaid jewelry for my girls 7 years ago. I didn’t even know her then, just loved her work.

Wedding season is in high swing here in Charleston, what with the temps graciously starting to dip a little. (Josh and I got married in November – who else has fall anniversaries?) One of my favorite spots to shop for the bride and groom is at Target. A few reasons… Target’s registry is super easy to work with, most everyone has a store nearby, and they have a great selection. And oh yeah, I’m a mom so i’m there ALL THE TIME. That’s okay though, I genuinely enjoy looking through all the departments and walking out much poorer than when I came in. Who else finds way more things in Target than they originally stopped in for?

So when Target contacted me to interpret their wedding theme of “Be Yourself, Together” I was totally game. Being married for nearly 7 years (no itch yet) it didn’t take me long to realize that it’s imperative to learn how to live with each other’s differences and celebrate our individuality. So why not keep this important lesson in mind when sending my best buds off to their own marital bliss? Plus, it just makes the shopping and gifting that much more fun, personal, and memorable.

For this project I used a real life couple that I know as my source of inspiration. My friend Amy is a creature of habit type who is very organized, but her fiancé Aaron is a globe trotter thanks to his job. Don’t worry, they balance each other out and are very happy together. So I was thinking a great gift pairing for them would be some Swissgear Luggage and huggable hangers.

Desktop3

Are you with me still? The Swissgear luggage is a great pick because it’s nice looking, good quality, and has ideal features. The huggable hangers are perfect because they fit right inside making packing for trips easy and fast…

And they’ll look fabulous in the new closet that the couple has learn to share. Win Win.

This post brought to you by Target. All opinions, as always, are my own. Feel free to follow along on Target’s wedding fun with #TargetWedding. Content and/or other value provided by our partner, Target.
