Life has been good lately over in our corner of the world. The weather is superb and we’ve been outside a ton and in our pool most every day.

Getting a lot of use out of my favorite scallop bikini :) If you want more coverage on the bottom I have these scallop hipsters and LOVE them. And the one piece version a lot, as well.

My friend Rebecca Atwood came to town last week to shoot some scenes in our home for her upcoming book about mixing patterns at home. SO excited about this book – a lot of amazing women friends’ homes are in there, too! Blue stripe towel found here, similar pink towel here, and ladder here.

New favorite book by one of our favorite authors, The Skunk. Mac Barnett writes the most hilarious and thought provoking books.

Spring is the time to eat outside as much as possible here in Charleston. This is from a girl night at XBB.

Last Friday Lilly graduated from pre-school. It was pretty much the sweetest and I was definitely a little emotional.

classic dress for kids

This cute dress she’s wearing is a gift from Savannah Children. I haven’t dressed Lilly in many traditional dresses but this one felt quite special and is a great keepsake for us. Of course she loves it :)

Lots of porch swinging. Because again, the weather. Fletcher’s striped linen shirt is under $10 here.

Good vibes only over here. Signage from Sharptooth Studio, shelf ledges found here, very similar chair here. And I get a lot of questions about our little sofa there – I found a great look for less right here!

Always manage to find something pretty to take a picture of here in Charleston. How about this dramatic door? It’s not what I usually gravitate to, but I like it nonetheless.

Had a fun coffee meeting with Garden & Gun Magazine yesterday. I’m heading on a summer road trip to St. Louis for them next month! Really excited to go explore, and I’m bringing my friend Gray!

And let’s end on a fun dress find!

streetstyle shirtdress

I’ve had this linen shirtdress for about a month and have probably worn it 4 times already. It comes in a light chambray version, too. I paired it with my blue satchel, gold strap sandals, and a tassel belt. Some people are all about that bass, I’m all about that tassel belt.

Filed Under: Fashion, What I'm Wearing

With the many whites that I, undoubtedly, will be wearing this summer, beige bras that provide legit support are super important to me. If you’ve been reading here for awhile then you know that I’ve been a long time fan of Bali’s bras and have worn their wire-free shaping bra for years.

Bali’s latest bra style, the Comfort Revolution Front Close bra, provides tons of support and shaping for those who need it (raises hand). The thin cups are stretchy and smoothing for a beautiful fit.

And the beige color hides well under white fabrics like the dress that I’m wearing here. Which is important for obvious reasons :)

Bras… small, but important, details :)

PS: Isn’t this embroidered dress fun? It runs a little large so you want to go down a size.

So you probably know that I’m always looking for an excuse to buy a surcie for my home. Colorful and/or unique accessories are just so fun to work in, and some can really make a big impact with minimal investment. Here are a few favorite home finds I’ve found lately that I love!

adding color to your home

teil duncan beach print, tassel tote,

pillow, woven textile/rug, brown pot art,

white chair, blue/white suzani, tie-dye towels,

burlap sack, neon rag rug, leopard wastebasket

That large blue and white suzani would be great thrown over a sofa or used as a tablecloth or bedcover. And you may be wondering why I have a tote up there, but I really think that it serves as both function and decor. Sit it on a chair or throw it over a ladder. Fill it with throws… That cute neon rag rug would be fun in the kitchen, entry, or bath! And how about that leopard wastebasket? It’s on sale! The pink pillow is such a gorgeous shade and is only $55.

Oh, and that limited edition Teil Duncan beach print up there is so fab! Y’all know I have big love for her work :)

Neighborhood strolls with the kids is one of my favorite things to do :) The weather is perfect right now here in Charleston so we’ve been trying to enjoy it before the humidity takes over the city.

Lilly is wearing her new favorite Old Navy dress. It’s the prettiest shade of blue and has pockets for collecting things. So easy for her to throw on and go.

And the Old Navy pink strappy sandals kill me. So adorable.

Right now is Old Navy’s biggest summer sale – you can take up to 50% off! So many cute things over there. Love Lilly’s dress in the pink version, too.

Happy Friday! I’ve been holding on to these pictures for about 2 weeks now because this Gretchen Scott tunic dress was sold out. Buuut it’s back in stock now!!

Pretty much the best fitting tunic I’ve ever had. And isn’t the blue and white print beautiful?

My white cross body bag is 20% off right now at Tuckernuck :) I’ve been carrying it a lot, it’s so versatile.

I’m also wearing my favorite nude wedges and my pearl bangle, both are simple enough to let the hand embroidered tunic be the focus :)
