Since it’s October I think it is more than acceptable to let the Halloween fun begin.  Today we picked up some pumpkins for our front porch.  Do you all carve and decorate yours?  I admire a well loved pumpkin, but I tend to leave mine in their natural glory.  Whatever your style, you can’t deny the sparkly feeling you get when you see images like this.  Bring on the Halloween parties.

Speaking of Halloween parties, can we all agree that “skin and sin” bashes are quite dreadful?!

Thank Goodness I read The Zhush, because if I did not I wouldn’t know about Ben’s Sister!  Wowza.  This is serious clutch heaven.  Trust me.  Or just scroll through the images I’ve added for your bag lovin’ pleasure.

See, I told you.  Bonus- they are incredibly reasonable considering their gorgeousness and handmade quality.  Go see the collection here.

This month I’m taking part in Pretty Mommy’s  Fall Recipe Exchange.  Each day a different blogger will be posting a yummy recipe on their site to get us all movin’ and groovin’ in the kitchen!  I’ll link to each recipe at the bottom of my daily post.  You can join me in my kitchen on Tuesday, October 12th when I share my own recipe here on my blog.

Today’s taco soup recipe comes from Michelle over at Pretty Mommy.  Don’t miss it!

Happy Monday morning!  I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend.  My husband and I got home last night and it feels so good to be home!  I love New York, and I love getting away with my man, but it’s always so nice to be home snuggling with my babe ;)

Oh, how I missed her.  She’s my mini sidekick!  I deemed it appropriate to spoil Lilly with fashionable goodies to help ease my pain.  On top of that she had an amazing weekend here in Charleston with her grandparents.  Lucky girl (lucky parents too)!
We stayed at the Tribeca Grand Hotel.  It was beautiful, and we loved the location.
Our days were, for the most part, filled walking, shopping, and eating.  It was quite lovely.  We had a fabulous lunch at the new marketplace, Eataly.   I could have stayed there for days.

I think Sophia Loren said it best…

Josh enjoying his beer.

 YUM!

It really was an Italian lover’s dream.   Eventually Josh dragged me out and we found a great spot to watch his alma mater play a little football.  He was thrilled to see the place filled with Hokies.

Oh, you don’t want to hear about football?  You want to hear about the shopping?  Alright then.  It’s a good thing we were only there for a weekend because it was time for me to go!!!  My favorite stores this trip were Topshop, All Saints, Madewell, Free People, and Piperlime’s pop up shop!  Retail Heaven.  My favorite purchases were definitely for Lilly.

You must also know that our dinner at Il Buco was ah-mazing.  Don’t walk, but RUN to it when you’re in the NYC area.
The weekend went by with a blur!   Such is life.

I’m on my way back to NYC for the weekend.  This time, I have my husband in tow and I couldn’t be happier about it.  The plan is no plan.  I’ll, of course, fit in some shopping (wink, wink).  There will likely be plenty of eating also.

For now I’m busy finishing up packing and crossing off errands on my “to do” list.  Did I mention packing?  Can you believe that my husband just surprised me with this to accompany us on our travels?

Gorgeous, right?  If you’ve been reading my blog then you KNOW I’ve been lusting over J.Crew’s Mongolian fur awesomeness.  And it is awesome.  But it’s big ya’ll.  BIG.  Plus my husband thought it was atrocious.  So I have decided to exchange it for it’s smaller, more subtle (can you call a white fur bag subtle?) version.
Perfection.  Remember my post about it here?  I asked my husband if he would regularly be surprising me with the beauties that I blog about.  He sneered.
Back to the trip.  I, of course, am excited to hit up Zara and H & M.  I’m pretty pumped to make it to the tail end of the Piperlime pop up shop in Soho.  I’m also dying to get to Topshop among many other stops.  And I already have this jacket in my sights at Uniqlo.
know Lilly would be happy to score this little number so she can match her Momma.
So, as you can tell we’ll have plenty to do and see over the weekend.  I hope you lovelies have a bright weekend planned as well.  Let’s meet back here Monday morning for coffee and a gagglefest.
