Happy Sunday!! We’ve had a fantastic weekend. Will put together a Life Lately post for tomorrow to share some pictures. In the meantime, I just saw that today is the last day of Nordstrom’s Half Yearly  sale. You all know I love to shop a sale by designer, so I thought I’d highlight some sale favorites from one of my most favorite brands, Madewell.

white top, orange dress, denim vest, white dress, chambray shirt,

plaid shirt, denim shorts, white top, green shorts, swing sweater

That cropped swing sweater is actually 60% off! The little white top on the bottom could be worn all summer. And I just love that orange silk slip dress, don’t you?!

TGIF!! In celebration here are 14 fabulous things. Because you have to look good on the weekend, too. Riiiight?

stripe dress, blue topwedges, iridescent slides, pink dress,

tassel clutch, polka dot dress, white dress, flats, cherry clutch,

grey top, suede bag, green printed dress, yellow maxi

So that little white dress, while seemingly simple, is quite perfect. And that pink dress – SO much fun. And those iridescent slides – freaking love but y’all probably already know that. And that grey top drapes nicely, don’t you think?

You Guys. Get ready for your mind to explode because I’m about to show y’all the coolest new toy. I’ve been playing around with my new HP Sprout PC. It features a dual screen (one HD touchscreen and a dynamic interactive touch mat), an HP illuminator to project and capture hi-res 3D images, and a built in web cam for live chats. It’s sort of the new, all purpose creativity station for designing, collaborating, and doing.

So one of my favorite features of HP’s new Sprout is the overhead camera. With it you can transform any object into a 3D image. You just lay your object on the interactive touch mat and tap the camera icon on the HD touchscreen. In this example I’m taking a picture of a plate setting.

From there you can manipulate it on the interactive mat to resize, move around, edit… I scanned in another image of my mostly empty pie pan. I mean, I could have just placed it on the table setting in the first scan, but where’s the fun in that? HA! I’m addicted.

So let’s focus a little more on the interactive touch pad down there, because that’s where so much happens. I uploaded one of my iPhone pictures of water to use as background for a text graphic. You wouldn’t know from the pictures here but to get images from the touch screen down to the touch pad you can just flick them down there with a simple little motion. Kinda like magic.

Then you can move, resize and edit. One of my most favorite features of the Sprout is the ability to write with your finger (or you can use the stylus).

I’ve had these pretty things saved up to tell y’all about for what feels like forever even though it’s only been a few days. There’s so-much-cuteness that I guess it was just extra hard to wait this week. See…

summer fashion

tie dress, asymmetrical dress, watermelon bag, white top, stripe dress,

scallop swimsuit, tie front romper, nude heelsearrings, wooden clutch,

blue dress, navy blouse, gingham dress, red dress, red sandals

I have so much to say… I recently got this tie front dress and I’m all about the look – so I’m loving that nude tie front dress and that little tie front romper up there. That criss cross top up there is so simple but that little detail makes it fabulous! And that navy top (priced well at only $54) is the perfect versatile summer blouse and comes in a few pretty colors. The blue off the shoulder flare dress is double lined and I bet you it’s so flattering.

And I mean, that watermelon bag. I can’t even get over the cuteness.

I hope you all had a nice holiday weekend! Our’s was really full and wonderful. Summer is off to a great start, so says my kids.

So today I’m sorta doing a repeat outfit because you’ve seen this black dress before in this post from last year. But it’s one of my favorite dresses so I thought I’d show it again since it’s so versatile.

It’s so easy to wear, belted or not. I like that the hem is longer in the back.

And again with my Annabel Ingal crossbody bag. Perfect little bag.

We woke up to a quiet house this morning because the kids got to spend the night at Grandma’s last night while we went to the First Flush Festival out at the Charleston Tea Plantation. So Much Fun. But I’ve just been flipping through the new J.Crew catalogue dying over everything. I went over to the site and basically couldn’t resist the 30% off promo – here are some of my favorite things!
