A weekend outfit.

J. Crew top, bag, and shoes; Urban Outfitters skirt and belt.
I’m loving the side zip sweatshirt over the pink feminine skirt.  The feathery belt adds the perfect touch for fall.  What do you all think?

Did you all see this?

I had a hard enough time resisiting its gold dust sister a few months ago.  I’m not so sure that I can resist the oyster shade though.  Absolutely perfection for the holiday season.
Also, still need a calendar for the new year?  Check out all 16 gorgeous options in this etsy treasury.
I’m also thinking hard about this watercolor painting.
The artist said she’s considering making it a print, too…

Good morning Lovelies!  Here’s a mid-week treat for you all.  Interior designer Emily Clark is visiting today to share her 5 favorite things in her home.  Yes, I’ll wait while you do the happy dance.  In fact, I’ll do one with you.  Because seriously, who doesn’t love Emily?!  I met her at the taping of The Nate Show in NYC (along with so many other fabulous bloggers), and let me just tell you that she is even more beautiful in person and is a true southern sweetheart.  Her blog is easily one of my favorite daily reads.  And did you catch her husband’s post last week when he hi-jacked her blog?  What a charmer!

Emily’s favorites list showcases how great she is at finding a deal and making it work perfectly in one’s home.  I could go on, but I’ll just let you all see for yourselves.

Thanks to Chassity for inviting me to share my “5 favorite things.” It’s a good chance for me to stop and think about what I actually like about my home, rather than picking it apart as I’m often guilty of doing. . . So, here goes.

1. My kelly green campaign dresser. I’m a huge fan of painted furniture and an even bigger fan of great deals. I found this piece for $40 and immediately changed it from gray to green. It provides alot of much needed storage in my home office.

2.  The navy chain-link rug in our family room.  Patience pays off.  I had my eye on this Pottery Barn rug for at least a year.  It eventually found it’s way to the outlet store, where I was able to catch it on sale at an even deeper discount.  I love the big pattern that it brings into our room.

3.  My kids’ artwork.  I love the way their creations looked framed and lining our downstairs hallway.  Best of all, they’re so proud when one of their masterpieces makes the wall!
4.  Our striped wall.  It was a labor of love, but I wanted horizontal stripes and I got them.  I love the visual interest it brings to a once boring beige area in our kitchen.
5.  And, finally–our bookcases.  I bought these off of Craigslist for $20 each and gave them a big makeover.  I think bookcases make a room feel cozy and are a great way to display family momentos.  I am constantly rearranging them but I enjoy the challenge.
Thank you so much to Emily for sharing her favorites with us today.  Aren’t they all beautiful?  I, too, am always rearranging items in my home.  Be sure to check out Emily’s blog if you haven’t already.

Almost as important as what’s inside a gift (but not nearly as important as the thought) is the packaging.  Every girl loves to be presented with a gorgeous gift, and these supplies will help you make your recipient happy.

Possibly the prettiest garland around.  Loving her new holiday colors.
Why not top them with an ornament?
Maybe a festive stamp for gift wrapping or envelopes?
And perhaps a pretty address stamp for all those holiday cards…

Happy wrapping.

It’s a rainy day here today, which has me wishing that I had this secret door right about now:

That led to this inside:
Pure bliss.
