Happy Friday!  Last night we attended the opening night of Charleston Wine + Food Festival.  I apologize for my late morning posting, but after tasting food and wine from 25 of the best restaurants in town, I’m running a little slow this morning…

Luckily though things aren’t slow over at All Things Bright & Beautiful.  Aubrey’s hosted a week long series featuring bloggers houses and how they make their’s a home.  She was sweet enough to invite me to participate.  So head over to see some things from around our home.  Like this…

{Hey it’s been cold here, yes all of our plants are dead right now!  Okay, so they never really “thrive”…}

And just for fun, here’s a photo of Josh and me from last night’s festivities.  I love how grainy this image is.
{It kind of looks like I’m spilling my wine here, huh??}
Isn’t my husband so cute in his bowtie?!  Awwwww.  Okay, now go see me at Aubrey’s.

I’ve been working on a project post for my friend Brie over at Cotton & Cane.  She asked me to take one article of clothing from my closet and come up with a few different outfits using it.  What I love about this is that I do this all the time.  Don’t we all?  I love shopping my closet and finding new ways to wear items.  Well today I’m going to share the top that I decided not to use for her post.  It’s the Puff Sleeve Sweater by Free People and it’s very lightweight for spring.  I absolutely adore it.  It’s available in a few colors.  I {so far} have it in grey.

Since I’m using pieces from my closet these collages won’t be as pretty as the polyvore arrangements, just keeping it real.  Oh, and I tried to stay basic or this project would have taken more time than I had.  So keep in mind they need the fun extras, like jewelry, bags, jackets, scarves, hosiery…

LOOK #1
{Paired with a Free People Floral Scrunch Skirt, J.Crew metallic belt and J.Crew heels.}
This sweater is very thin so it tucks nicely.  Love it paired with the bright floral print.

LOOK #2
{Worn over a striped tee from Urban Outfitters, scalloped hem shorts from Yes Style, and Sam Edelman Gigi flat sandals.}
The sweater is perfect for layering over or under things, skys the limit.  I chose a simple striped tee.  It would look great over a collared button down untucked too.  Love it with the scallop hemmed shorts.

LOOK #3
{Tied in a side knot and paired with a bright, knee length, round skit from Banana Republic and J.Crew flower heels.}
This sweater looks awesome tied up in a side knot.  Such an easy way to switch things up.
LOOK #4
{Paired with Paperbag Trousers from Urban Outfitters and J.Crew heels.}
This is one of my favorite looks.  It looks great untucked too for a more relaxed look.

LOOK #5
{Paired with a J.Crew sequin mini skirt, American Apparel twist scarf worn as a belt, and J.Crew heels.}
I throw almost anything over this sequin skirt.  LOVE it.  And I really recommend getting one of those twist scarves.  You can wear them in your hair, as a necktie, as a belt…
A few ending thoughts:  Remember these need final touches.  Don’t forget accessories and more layers if you wish ;)  And, wow, apparently I shop a lot at J.Crew…
Want your own puff sleeve sweater?  You can get yours here.
Hey Brie, when do you want me to send over my post??

Has me reeling.  I absolutely adore it.  I would push it up against a wall and prop some art on that beauty.

That’s because I’m in need of a console table.  Sadly, I think this Cant Desk is just too deep for the space I want to put it.  Blasted.  But just for fun, I think these works by Tanya Ling would like quite nice propped up, no??

Today’s guest is from one of the most gorgeous blogs you’ll encounter.  Linda of Simply Seductive has a way with words and exuding subtle style.  I pretty much leave her blog in a trance like state of mind on a daily basis.  And I’m honored to introduce Linda here today as the next guest in the “designer’s favorites” series.  Trust me, you’re in for a treat.  This one is one of my favorites.

{Hello, Linda here from Simply Seductive. It is a pleasure to be part of Chassity’s wonderful guest feature. Following are just a few of my favourite things around our home… enjoy, xo}

{I simply love this rug. We bought it for our current home and it graces our living room… the colors, the print and the size is perfect.}

{this capriz shell chandelier was bought almost seven years ago, and I still admire it.  At the time, it was quite a feat to have it imported from my sister-in-law’s American cousin before the style became trendy.  I’ll go to great lengths to get something I want!}

{although I love stripes, especially black and white, this photograph is really about the brass stool that my husband and I purchased at an antique store for a mere $30.00.  I plan to recover the seat soon.}

{recently purchased lovely gray Mongolian wool pillows from Haute Look.  They look great on our ivory leather Barcelona chairs.}

{I truly adore this painting, a gift from my husband’s aunt who was a former Canadian foreign official, working in Senegal, Africa for many years… we visited her and had the most wonderful two-week vacation!}

{recently took up cooking since becoming a vegan last March and received this long-time coveted cookware for my birthday in September.  Cooks absolutely lovely.}

{p.s. Thank you, Chassity for reaching out to me and for including me to be part of your lovely blog!}

I told you it was a good one.  Aren’t her loves divine?  I adore that she went to such lengths to have that capriz shell chandelier.  And the copper cookware is absolute art.  I’m way too intimidated to have such a set.

Thank you so much to Linda for stopping by today and sharing a peek into her home.  Be sure to visit her blog, Simply Seductive.  Prepare to be seduced.
