Did you hear that Garden & Gun Magazine (one of my favorites) now has an online store? Here’s a peek at some of their exclusive items designed in conjunction with eight designers.

You’ve seen Barbara Beach’s vintage inspired designs here on the blog before because, well, I’m a fan for sure. She’s unique, beautiful, and quality all wrapped into one. Need a reminder of her pretty?
Lovely, right? Barbara also just had her clothing featured in Small Magazine too.
And I’m happy to share that today Barbara is offering up a $50 gift certificate towards her online shop! Um, can I enter this Barbara??

But first I want to share Dani’s new holiday cards that she just added to her shop!
Aren’t they adorable? I love the patterns and colors. Plus they’re really customizable, so go check out the collection. There’s even gift tags and stickers too.
Okay, now for the giveaway part! The winner will get to choose between a pretty platter…

This past weekend Josh and I had a little “babymoon”. Lilly went to her grandparent’s house for the weekend and we got some much needed r&r. Friday night we stayed here in Charleston and had a date night which included seeing Dracula at the Dock Street Theater.
And then Saturday morning we headed 2 hours south to Palmetto Bluff.
I mean that. It’s my new favorite place ever. I have wanted to visit Palmetto Bluff for about 5 years now but just haven’t gotten around to doing it. Something about spending money to go have a “lowcountry style” weekend when we already live in the lowcountry just kept us from making the trip. But thank goodness we finally did because I. am. in. love.
If I were planning a wedding, I think this little chapel at the resort would top the list!
There’s a reason why they won #1 Hotel in the US/Canada by Travel & Leisure in 2010. Yes, number one. They’re resort – perfection, service – perfection, amenities – perfection. Here’s some pictures of the little cottage we stayed in.
Absolutely gorgeous. After settling in we hopped in a canoe and Josh did a little fishing while I relaxed and read some magazines.
And look! He caught one :)
Thank goodness (you know how men can be… ha). The rest of the afternoon we rode around on our bikes exploring the resort and then relaxed in the cottage. We had a wonderful dinner at the River House and then finished the night outside roasting s’mores. They have three firepits and provide all of the supplies. BLISS.
And headed to the spa for massages. It was fabulous! As was the lunch we had after (we split a pimento cheese bacon burger & short rib sliders). Palmetto Bluff is such an amazing place, I can’t wait for the day I can go back. I highly recommend you visit. It was the perfect spot for our little babymoon.

Let’s talk a little bloggy housekeeping, can we? I’m well aware that we’re seeing my sponsor posts left and right here on LLL. It’s a lot. But I want you to know that I love my sponsors. If you see them on here, it’s because I love them, not because I’m really hard up for a few bucks. I turn down a lot of advertiser requests. Really. And I’ve also returned products that I’ve been given to review if I don’t think they’re awesome and don’t feel I should share here on the blog or my facebook or twitter (oh yes I have). (Oh and I always disclose if something was gifted.) Whew. It’s just important to me that ya’ll know this. I really want to show each of my advertisers love every month b/c I just don’t think that an ad alone in the left section does them justice. Down the road things may need to change, not sure how, but maybe I’ll have to combine a few sponsors into one post. What do you all think of that?
The main thing I want ya’ll to know is that I’m writing about things that I really want to share… not just because I may or may not be making some money off of a particular post or product. Making a few bucks is just kind of like a sweet perk. I started this blog for fun, and that’s why I still write it today. I never want you to think that I’m motivated by anything other than this.
I also want to thank each of you who support my sponsors. They’re all fantastic, awesome people who I now consider to be friends. And it makes me so happy when I see someone around town or get an email from a reader who tells me that they purchased something from one of my sponsors and LOVE it. Makes my day. You all are really the best. This little blog space of mine makes me so happy. And just in case you ever doubted it:
Oh my goodness, look at what just showed up on our doorstep for Lilly! Squeals!
Serious cuteness. I think she needs it in every color. I went ahead and paired it with some of the things in Lilly’s closet. I think she just needs these crystal tights and we’ll be set! Gah!
I tend to get all giddy when J.Crew offers good incentives on their non-sale merchandise. I know I’m not alone in this.
