It doesn’t happen often, but man this last week I’ve been struggling here on the blog. Here’s hoping I come back refreshed from the weekend. On a good note, I had a nice week in my “real life”. On the momma front, Lilly had ballet camp complete with a little recital yesterday. She loved it (and I loved the extra time!).
Oh, and I also got a pink fireplace :)

My friend Christine just opened up an art shop, Wink of Pink. All sorts of beautiful and girly pretty over there.
Why not have a pretty camera? Is it ridiculous that I feel the urge to swap out my camera strap for something way more fun? It’s not like I’m a photographer or anything.

It was a great weekend around here. I’m feeling a little scatter brained so I thought I’d share some recent favorites that I’ve been eyeing… Here ya go.
You all know I’m a fan of Lulie’s work (see my In Her Studio Q&A here). She recently finished up a bunch of these lil guys. How cute are they?
I’ve been looking around for fabric for our banquette cushion in our kitchen. There are so many pretty fabrics that it’s really hard to choose one and run with it. Over the weekend I found this fun print by Lulu DK. It’s a possibility for sure. Love all these color ways.
Some people really live life. Take Olivia Rae. I don’t know this girl, but I’ve seen her blog. And every single time I visit her space I leave feeling happy and inspired. She’s always outdoors, out and about, with family and friends, enjoying food, conversation, the night air, under twinkling lights. I live my life too, I think I live it well, but man I need to get outside more. I’m a sucker for going out to restaurants, attending events, and shopping, but I could use some more nature in my life. You know what I mean?
Well a few weeks ago a mutual friend of ours commented on the most enchanting photo of Olivia, and I have no idea why but it just so happened to pop up in my newsfeed. So I emailed Olivia to get the scoop on this sweet photo in hopes of sharing it here on the blog. Turns out, it was just a random Sunday morning. Nothing special, just she and her boyfriend Blake rowing around the Lilypads at Cypress Gardens (near Charleston, where scenes from The Notebook were filmed) and eating sticky buns from Wildflour Pastry. Maybe I should start bringing a photographer friend around with me? What sweet memories her friend Susan captured…
I’m making it a mission to get outside this weekend. Maybe we’ll take out the kayak for Father’s Day. Enjoy the weekend, Everyone!
