I kind of have this personal tradition where every year come Christmas time I get a new coat. Sometimes they are gifts from loved ones, sometimes I splurge on myself. I think it’s a great way to build up a quality outerwear collection. The best thing about a good coat is that it can give you a pulled together look even if you’re slumming it underneath. I’ve always been drawn to J.Crew’s outerwear collection and a good majority of my coats wear that label. Their thinsulate wool is luxurious without costing an arm and a leg like some brands.

I love how this leopard Fossil bag adds a little pattern to my otherwise all black outfit. Plus it can be carried on the shoulder or as a top handle. And if you look real closely down there you’ll see the Bauble Bar cone bracelet I instagramed recently. It comes in a few colors and is really good quality with a nice weight to it.
And this Loren Hope crystal necklace is one of my new favorite pieces – as you can imagine I can throw it on with pretty much everything.
I took the liberty of searching around for more coats (20 to be exact) worthy of wrapping up in… So many good ones in here. I especially love the hooded topper coat and the cocoon coat.
