It’s always funny to hear how others describe you, don’t you think? A friend of mine recently told me that she overheard her husband describing my style as “she’s the kind of girl that will wear a blouse all the way buttoned up, a hipster”. Well I wouldn’t call myself a hipster, but I do regularly wear my blouses all buttoned up. I just think it’s an easy way to change up your look. So when I found this zip-back stripe collar shirt at J.Crew I knew it needed to be mine. It’s good with pants, shorts, skirts, jeans, whatever.

I’ve had these minnie pants for a few years now and they’re still rock solid – J.Crew makes them right. It’s a flattering and comfortable style that has earned a right in every girl’s closet. And I’ve had those Chinese Laundry flats for awhile, too, and they’re in great condition. At just $59 they’re a no brainer. They look legit plus come in a bunch of different colors.
I’ve been playing around with my new flat iron by ghd that the girls over there were so sweet to send to me. It heats up in under 10 seconds (no lie!) and straightens like a dream. Easily the best straightener I’ve ever had. I’ve been practicing curling my hair with it, too. This day I was going for a loose wave and love that it actually turned out the way I was hoping it would. Who knew you could curl your hair with a straightener? I mean, I’ve heard before that you could but it seemed out of my comfort zone. Always fun to learn new tricks.
I’ve been wearing my Warby Parker sunnies around everywhere. They’re comfortable and fun and an amazing brand. Did you know that for every pair purchased Warby Parker gives a pair to someone in need? This past summer they hit a total of 500,000 pairs of glasses distributed (imagine where they are now). That’s just awesome.
Word. There was clearly something awesome going on over to my right. Buy the minnie pant.
