Again, thanks to Saks Off 5th, I’ve found another jackpot. This time it’s Joie. 50%-70% off (yes!). A great time to stock up on your basic blouses and dresses for fall.
Earlier this month the kids and I drove down to Tybee Island (right outside of Savannah, GA) to visit with our friend Meredith and her family at her family’s beach house. Gray and her family were there, too, and we had such a nice time. We did this last summer as well (see the pictures from that trip in this post) and I can only hope we get to do it again next year. It’s a laid back sort of place and Meredith’s beach house is over 100 years old and more lovely than you can imagine. Most of it is not air conditioned, but I kind of like the charm of that (of course I say that now as I sit in the comfort of my kitchen in my air conditioned home..). Regardless, the kids had a blast. Here are some of the photos that Gray managed to snap along the way.
The kids loved exploring that big old house and we loved watching them. Thanks for the little getaway Meredith!
Well apparently it’s already that time for new fall arrivals to come pouring in. Not that I’m complaining. Fall is my favorite. Lots of girly options here. This paisley style shift dress with the sheer sleeves is the perfect mix of fall colors and feminine!
All of it. So pretty. That pink dress comes in a few different colors and is only $75! And I think I could live in that chambray dress. The leopard dress is such a classic and flattering style, plus would be great later with a blazer thrown over it. And I love that new nude color of the quilted bag.
Another edition of what just might be a series here, Gallery Wall. Obviously y’all know I love looking at art and collecting it. I like the mix too – pairing paintings with framed artistic photographs. My current collection is mostly paintings so I’m really into this Behind The Lens collection of images from photographers like Judith Gigliotti, Slim Aarons, Gray Malin, Mark Paulda, and more.
Shopbop launched a sale on top of their sale today – 25% off of select sale items. And the selection they chose for this promo is pretty freaking good. Things are already moving fast and it ends Wednesday night.
There are a TON of swim things on sale. These 12 I chose here don’t even touch the surface of the good finds over there, but I had to stop somewhere. I didn’t fit in this cute one piece swimsuit.
Ask me what my favorite summer outfit is and I’ll tell you it’s a loose fitting and breathable dress. This Eileen Fisher linen blend dress fits that description perfectly. It’s comfortable like a sleep shirt but pulls together nicely for a night out. I love the floaty, asymmetrical hem and front pockets.
Eileen Fisher is one of those genius type of brands that focuses on not only quality and comfort, but also easy dressing. It’s a modular style collection that can be mixed and matched from season to season. Takes a lot of guess work out for someone who doesn’t have the time or desire. We all know I totally love to get dressed with all that it entails, but being a mom I also have to have easy to grab options that I can throw on in a hurry and still look cute. I’m discovering that Eileen Fisher is a perfect line for this.
