Heeeey I’m back! I hope y’all had a nice weekend. Sorry I didn’t get a post up on Friday. But I’m back from NYC and would love to share my trip with you. It was super busy but still fun and relaxing. Here we go…
Flew in bright and early Thursday morning! Beautiful flight.
Checked into my hotel, the Marlton Hotel. Pretty much as cool as can be. Tiny, but so beautifully designed.
Had tea downstairs with my friend Amy Stone. Chatted about some fun things to come.
Headed to the Buru brunch party at The Leopard at des Artistes. These flowers were by Taylor Tomasi Hill’s floral company. So pretty.
Here I am with the Buru owner Morgan Hutchison and Shana.
After a fun brunch I headed over to the Kade Spade on Madison. I don’t know how I got so lucky but they wanted to dress me for their spring presentation the following day. I know!! I kinda felt like a princess.
I tried on a lot of pretty things like this pretty pretty blue coat and clutch.
And these shoes which you’ve seen me blog about before. That heel is just so good.
After the appointment I went home for a short breather and to change and then headed out to the Old Navy party where I met up with my good friend Grace.
And don’t you know Katie Holmes was there. Like whoa she’s so pretty. She wasn’t so into all the people gathering around her though. I love the look on this guy’s face here. Katie Holmes, bringing fan boys to tears everywhere.
Then we headed to the Stylelist party on the roof of the Mondrian hotel. It was so pretty up there and fun to see my Stylelist friends! After the party Grace, Alex, and I had dinner at Lafayette. It was just super. Ordered a bunch of things to share but their frisee salad was the bomb.
So the next day I woke up and met Julia and her husband Thomas for coffee at Le Grainne Cafe. Carly was running a tad behind but caught up with us in time to walk over to the Kate Spade presentation. Carly and I are shoe twins :) I’m wearing the structured drop waist dress, Julia is in the cyber floral dress, and Carly is in the open back red silk dress (you gotta see the pretty back!).
This spring collection is hands down my favorite KSNY collection yet. Trust me.
With my favorite Design Darling.
Picture overload I know. And we are not even close to being done.
So around this time Josh flew in to meet me for the weekend so I headed back to the Marlton to see him. We grabbed lunch at Jeffrey’s Grocery and then walked along Bleeker St. Here we are trying on glasses at See. Such a fun store, Josh found a new pair!
That night we started things out with drinks with my friends Jamie and Stacy.
Then believe it or not I dragged Josh to a fashion event! We went to the Piperlime party and it was actually really great b/c there were a lot of guys there. Dare I say Josh had a good time?! We ended up staying much longer than we planned and had to move our dinner reservation (at Palma) back another hour. And y’all, Olivia Palermo, Jamie Chung, and Poppy Delevingne were there as well! I was dying a little.
Next morning woke up in our pretty room.
We walked down to Rosemary’s for brunch. Fabulous little spot! So pretty inside, too.
After brunch we split our different ways and I met my friend Stacy from Hampden for an afternoon of shows. Started at Rebecca Taylor and it was a gorgeous collection as expected.
Outside I chatted with Elle Strauss (style director at Shopbop and over all cool chic) and laughed over our matching shoes! I died a little and had to document. Our ankle chain sandals are available here and here.
A quick trip to the top of the Standard. Y’all it was so hot this weekend that I nearly died up here with my jacket.
And then ending the show tour with Tibi. Not a bad way to conclude.
Yep, you certainly did spy Blair Eadie sitting next to the Glamourai up there. She couldn’t have been more lovely or down to earth. And just so you know I’m not a complete fan girl. Blair was talking to the girls I was with so I didn’t just go up to her blindly for a picture. Though I probably would have.
Inner squeals. After Tibi I stopped by the Rewardstyle party to see some blog friends before heading back to the hotel to meet Josh. And just to make sure I kept it real, Josh took me out to a sports bar Saturday night for football.
But I wore my glitter clutch and rock studs anyway :)
Sunday morning we had brunch at Joseph Leonard (amazing) and walked through Washington Square Park before taking off for the airport.
That’s a wrap. So much fun.
