Happy Friday! The kids started school this week and all is well and happy. We are looking forward to a 3 day weekend – Monday is no school thanks to the Solar Eclipse. They say that 1 million people are coming to Charleston to see it (we should have a pretty good view).

What’s better than back to school shopping? Back to school shopping with your BFF! Lilly and Farris are ready for their first day of school with their new outfits from Kohl’s!
It’s shocking how much kids grow in a summer. Keeping them dressed in cute and comfortable clothing that actually fits can be a struggle, so I’m thankful for affordable resources like Kohl’s. Their back to school collection is pretty cool, and thankfully Lilly agrees (making my life a little bit easier finding first day outfits for under $50).
Cute and comfortable sneakers are a back to school necessity for my kids, and I love that Kohl’s carries both converse and the classic stripe adidas :) Super cute mini style!
And can we talk about how seeing Lilly carrying a Jansport backpack makes my heart happy? I had a pink one just like it when I was little.

I know that I included this dress in a recent round up post, and I had to have it because I really, really love it. It’s the prettiest shade of blue.
And these metallic slides are my favorite shoe right now! They’re so comfortable and easy to wear. They come in so many colors – I really want the black, too.

Well, just a few more days and then it’s back to school for my kids. We’ve been getting organized and have picked up school supplies and all of that fun stuff. My kids don’t need a lot of supplies here at home (at least not that I know of yet), but I’m planning to surprise them with a few fun desk accessories when they come home from their first day. Obviously the girl supplies are more fun than the boys…
kitten tape holder: if only it meowed with each use.
