So last night I was catching up with a friend that I ran into at dinner and I asked how his summer was, to which he responded that it wasn’t nearly over. Which is so totally true. I guess my definition of summer has changed now that I’m a mom. My kids go back to school next week and I can’t even wrap my head around it! We had an amazing (and busy!) summer full of good times and lots of travel (Nantucket, Florida, Bahamas, Disney World, a couple of weeks in the mountains…). Lilly and Fletcher will be in the same school this year which is going to fun. I’m looking forward to regular exercise again (it’s horrific how my metabolism has changed as I’ve gotten older). So with less than a week ’til school resumes we’re hoping to make this weekend as good as it can be (which will be a little tough since Fletcher is recovering from tonsil surgery).
Btw, I’m wearing this floral dress. Obsessed with the colors and the easy, drapey fit. It comes in black, too. Also, did you see the J.Crew summer favorites sale? 40% off! I *love* this bow top, this pretty pink side button sweater, and this floral dress would be so cute with a little jacket thrown over it this fall. And Carly says that this is the best swimsuit EVER.
It’s still hot and humid here in Charleston but that’s not stopping me from picking up some of the new cute fall arrivals. Because winter is coming, y’all. :)
Hope everyone’s week is going well. Fletcher got his tonsils out a few days ago so I’ve been laying low with him and it’s been quite nice. But tonight I’m heading to the Dewberry for some much needed yoga with friends!

glossier: everything. i’m seriously becoming the addict. and the cloud paint might be my #1.
