On Monday night I saw Reese Witherspoon speak here in Charleston! She’s always been one of my most very favorite actresses! She’s talented and inspiring and gorgeous all wrapped up into one! Her clothing brand Draper James was kind enough to dress me for the night and I love this navy eyelet dress that I’m wearing.

I’m off to Charlottesville, VA this morning and I THOUGHT this plaid shirtdress would get packed in my suitcase. I mean, Virginia in late September. Nope. It’s hot there, too. But since this pretty dress is by Gal Meets Glam it’s sure to sell out quick, so I braved the Charleston humidity so that I could share it now. I was talking to a friend about this yesterday… It’s hard to get excited about Fall clothes when you live in a hot place because when all the good fall stuff comes out it’s still way too hot to wear it. But once it cools down enough to wear longer layers all of the good stuff is sold out. Such a conundrum. So I say shop now.
And I love this dress – it’s a little retro chic with the check pattern and the bow tie neck. Plus the fit is super flattering and it’s made quite well.
I paired it with my Givenchy leather bag (which never goes out of style) and some metallic high heels.
