TGIF! I’m heading into the weekend in my new dress and am pretty excited about it. I love the swiss dot pattern and the covered buttons down the front. The shape is flattering and comfortable, and it’s lined!

And these gingham knot heels are the perfect block heel height – super comfortable and manageable on Charleston’s cobble streets!

The sea blue color of this dress is seriously one of my favorite shades, but it also comes in a really pretty pinkish red color, too! And because when it comes to pretty dress more is more, here are a dozen more favorites!

We can all agree that this bell sleeve dress is spectacular. And I might have to order this cute dress, it reminds me of my favorite Rhode dresses, but a little more polished. And I love this little black dress – perfect for when you need to dress up a little but still want to be comfortable! Happy Friday, Everyone!

This striped sweater poncho is about as close to perfect as you can get. And these popcorn sweaters – SO cute and I love the shape and longer length in the back.  This swingy khaki dress will take you from day to night.

Who else is in the midst of all the back to school chaos? We go back in just 2 weeks (uh, where did summer go??), so I’ve been spending a good chunk of my time back to school shopping and organizing. Kids grow like weeds. Sneakers get worn out and dingy. And fresh school supplies just make going back to school a lot more fun.

So since I’ve been doing so much online searching I thought I’d share some of my favorite finds with you guys! With any luck, it’ll save you some time, and money, because there are a ton of sales happening right now!

This is the number one thing on Lilly’s back to school wish list. She picked out these cute shoes, too. Those are erasable highlighters (where were they when I was a kid?)! The front knot long sleeve tees are nice and easy and come in a lot of colors. And Ban.do always has the best planners and notebooks. Lilly actually chose this 3 ring binder planner, it includes fun “extras” like different sections on wellness, fitness, feelings, goal planning… oh and stickers. Stickers always sell it.

Those Kickee Pants are the only underwear Fletcher wears. They really are incredibly soft, so I can’t blame him. Smart watch phones are perfect for those kids riding their bikes to school on their own! Fletcher got this camo backpack two years ago and it’s SUPER durable, and cool (spoiler alert he gets to use it again this year). We have about 8 pairs of these shorts. Seriously. And the headphones, let’s be honest, we all know that your teachers are going to request them. These are on Amazon Prime and come in all the good colors. 

Of course every kid needs a fresh supply of white socks (where do they goooo anyway?!). We like this pack of low cut white socks! These gel pens make taking class notes more fun. And I know a file folder sounds super lame, but this one is COOL and comes in all the pretty color combos. Seems like a great way to organize all those class papers!

It’s that time of year when all the cute fall arrivals are hitting the sites, and even though it’s sweltering here in Charleston, I’m into it! Cute tops are an easy way to transition to cooler temps, so today’s post is dedicated to them entirely. As I was writing this post I realized I was actually wearing a beloved, cute top of mine, so I snapped this quick mirror selfie to add in :) I love it so much that I bought it in another color, too! They’re both faves!

Happy Monday morning, I hope you all had a nice weekend. I was hit with either the worst allergies ever or a bad cold, so I took it pretty easy and rested and read a lot. It made me realize that I haven’t shared a favorite books round up post in a while! So today is dedicated to my favorite recent books!

I also loved Where The Crawdad’s Sing but y’all definitely don’t need me to tell you about that one… :) The Irish Cottage is SO good and is the first of a 3 book series – highly recommend them all! I was unsure about The Idea of You but my friend Grace recommended it so hard that I tried it and it didn’t disappoint. And full disclosure, I haven’t finished The Islanders yet, just started it this past weekend, but it’s fantastic so far!! All of them are fantastic. Read them all you guys!! Trust me :)

TGIF! I’m ending this super fast week (anyone else feel like it flew by?) with all my favorite new and new favorites, including this new blue floral smocked dress! It’s SO comfy and the colors are right for fall, too!

This dress can be worn off shoulder, too (love that option). And aren’t those bow heeled sandals fun? I don’t wear high heels that often in the summer, but I always feel a little more special when I do! Here are 15 (because I couldn’t narrow it down to a dozen) more of my favorite new arrivals!

A few things to say… that smocked dark floral dress is fab and priced well! The layered dress with floral hem and thermal “top” is especially cool for fall. Especially the black one. I love that color combo on the color block maxi skirt. And those knit ponchos – YES!!
