I’m so excited to share today’s dress because it’s super cute, is super comfortable, and is only $30. The waist has a draw string tie so that you can wear it more or less fitted. And the ruffle sleeves can be pushed up (like how I’m wearing here) or worn down (like you can see here on the model). And it comes in a few colors!
And these are my red leather lace up heels that you’ve seen a couple of times here before. I LOVE them, they’re incredibly comfortable and easy to wear and walk in. They come in a great versatile gold color as well.
J.Crew’s new fall arrivals are every bit as good as we all expected them to be. I love all the layering pieces, the rich colors, and the casual vibes!! And alllll the coats! Right now J.Crew is offering 30% off your purchase (including new arrivals) with the code TGIFALL!
Last week we spent a long weekend at Montage Palmetto Bluff, one of my most favorite places in the world. We were there for the May River Music Festival, a 3 night concert series benefiting the conservancy at Palmetto Bluff.
We’ve been going to Palmetto Bluff for 8 years now. It’s one of our most loved family spots for a relaxed getaway. The kids adore it too, but this time is was just Josh and me.
Palmetto Bluff is set along the May River, and is speckled with adorable cottages! This one was our’s right on the water, and it had the most spectacular back yard and view. Absolute heaven. We sat on our screen porch a few times every day! The weather was perfect.
The first night of the May River Music Festival was sort of like a live band karaoke situation. It was seriously so fun and they should do it every weekend. You could request songs to hear, songs to sing, even songs to play yourself. I couldn’t help myself and got up there for one song, too. I sang Pontoon, by Little Big Town.
The music festival was only during the evenings, so we had the days to relax and explore. One of my favorite things we did was go for a cruise on their antique yacht, Grace. She’s over 100 years old and is a true beauty.
Since the last time we were at Palmetto Bluff there have been a few new openings. One of my favorites is Fore & Aft. It’s a great poolside mexican restaurant right on the lagoon. We ordered chorizo nachos and fish tacos.
Bike riding around the property and just exploring is definitely my favorite thing to do at PB. The bike trails are endless and I love looking at all the houses.
The second night of the May River Music Festival was waterside on the lawn at Mooreland. This concert space totally blew me away. It was dripping with starry string lights and all the trees were the perfect backdrop. We got a picnic basket with fried chicken from Cole’s, the restaurant right there at Mooreland, and watched the show!
I did a little shopping over the weekend, too. I bought this painting below by Joanna Hickey at a cute shop on property called The Paris Market. It was super cool, and they have another store in Savannah.
This little duffy boat with it’s striped canopy makes me happy every time that I see it. It shuttles people from the Inn over to The Canoe Club for dinner. So fun.
Palmetto Bluff is all about community and bringing people together, so there is no shortage of things to do there. Pickleball, tennis, bowling, golf, water activities, the pools, equestrian, the shooting club, biking…
And one of my favorite things to do, the spa!! I managed to squeeze in a massage.
Quick selfie before the last night of the music festival!
Saturday night was definitely my favorite night of all. It took place right on the main lawn by the River House. This was the first May River Music Festival, and they expect to bring it back each year. It benefits The Conservancy at Palmetto Bluff. Below I’m pictured with Jay Walea, he’s the Director of the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy and he is pretty much the heart of the Bluff. Josh and I spent a day with Jay a couple of years back exploring the far reach corners of Palmetto Bluff, (did you know that it’s 20,000 acres?)! It was great to get to see him again and be here for this inaugural fundraiser!
Ben Rector was the headliner Saturday night. I didn’t know of Ben before but I am a huge fan now. He was incredible to watch!!
The square was filled with local food trucks, and we ran into a few Charleston people there as well! It was such a great night to end a fantastic weekend! After the show we made s’mores at the fire pits.
And because the People at Montage Palmetto Bluff are so amazing, they’re offering us a discount code for you to come visit! Use the code “LOOKLINGERLOVE” for 20% off Montage Palmetto Bluff’s best available rate plus 2 complimentary bicycles for the duration of your stay! Trust me, you’ll see why it’s so special!!
Thank you to Montage Palmetto Bluff for partnering on this post.
Hi Hi! I’m sharing a few things today that I’ve been compiling lately that don’t necessarily have anything to do with one another, but are TOTALLY cool! Here you go!
That is no regular chocolate bar. That chocolate is good for your skin, calms you, and enhances your focus. MAGIC. An amazing gift, too!! And that wicker cooler is amazing isn’t it? Also, I am REALLY into that scissors painting. Would be really cool in an office or a kids space.
