Summer Things

Good morning! I hope you all had a nice weekend!! Our’s was really nice and we had a great Father’s Day – I feel so lucky to be married to such a great Dad to my children. We celebrated on the boat, and also had a lovely brunch. It was a beautiful weekend.

Last week I received the sweetest Summer delivery from J.McLaughlin – I brought this new cute striped towel on the boat. And if you’re looking for a really good sunscreen Sconset is AMAZING. I used their sunscreen all last summer and am this season, too. I didn’t burn after being on the boat all day thanks to this stuff, which is kind of a miracle because I’ve yet to have that first summer burn, you know? It’s family friendly and organic and safe.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen J. McLaughlin’s site look as beautiful as it does right now – there are so many pieces that I’m in love with like this adorable striped wicker clutch!

Aren’t these sandals so cute? And this classic linen dress is perfect for all the hot days we are currently living in. I love these wood framed sunglasses. Designer Spotlight: LemLem

TGIF! In honor of Juneteenth today I’m sharing one of my favorite black owned businesses – LemLem! I remember buying my first Lemlem cover up dress for my very first Harbour Island trip back in 2014! That was one of my favorite pieces ever (I wish I still had it), and I’ve loved the brand ever since. So today I wanted to highlight the new collection because it’s SO dreamy!! The pieces are made with this amazing breathable gauzy fabric, and I love the simple patterns and pretty colors.

Shameless Sohp Shop plug, but hey it makes for such a fun surprise for kids and it’s great to have on hand for birthday parties! Keep those tiny hands clean! That mascara is my favorite mascara I’ve ever used – it comes with a primer and makes all the difference. And I’ve lost count of how many of those Glossier milky jelly face wash bottles I’ve gone through – it’s just one of my favorite products ever. That striped J.Crew for Amazon dress is only $30. The Lindroth Birkin basket is 75% off, you guys. And I love the simplicity of that pearl necklace for summer.

Etsy Lately: My Favorites

That Dear Daddy book is a personalized book, and while she can no longer guarantee Father’s Day delivery, it’s worth waiting for. So sweet. And how fun is that DIY miniature dollhouse music box? A little girl’s dream craft! If you’re looking for a bike basket look no further – I love this one! And summer camp may be canceled but I kind of love the idea of inspiring my kids to make their own camp experience and having a set of merit badges for incentive would be so much fun! They could be ironed on to a tote bag or denim jacket!

You guys, I’ve gotten so fluffy. I can see it in my face and feel it in my clothes. I’m active, but since Covid I haven’t been as dedicated as I need to be. So this post is a timely round up for me because I need to kick myself into gear. If you’re feeling the squeeze as well, or just love buying new active pieces, then keep reading – I’ve rounded up 12 new favorite finds for the active side of your life :)

APL Sneakers – I just ordered these after going for a long walk this weekend and ending up with a killer back ache. It was time for fresh pair and after some serious research I settled on these after repeatedly reading that these are super supportive!!

Cropped Sweat Wicking Tee – This looks like the most breathable tee I’ve ever seen thanks to the open hole construction. GREAT color options, too.

Biker Shorts – My favorite summer workout gear! Like leggings, but shorts! I have these and they’re buttery soft and have a pocket! They’re high rise so they hold you in, and the 7 inch inseam is just long enough.
