One of my favorite events during our Explore Charleston blogger weekend this past weekend (see that full recap here) was the Saturday lunch at my house. I just loved having the girls over! And I was so happy with how the lunch set up turned out. I can say that because I had so very little to do with it. This is the first time that I’ve recruited so much help for a party. I’m usually much more hands on. But I knew that I would be so busy with the girls that morning downtown that it just wasn’t feasible. Well I’ve now been completely spoiled by my creative friends that it’ll be hard to throw another party without their help.
Let’s start with OOH Events. I stopped by the warehouse many weeks back to choose some rental necessities… like tables and chairs that would accommodate 16. Kind of important since our usual set up only holds 8. My friend Megan Chandler, who works there, took care of everything for me. I rented the dishes and glassware from Polished (located in the OOH warehouse as well) and called it a day. OOH Events even did all the flowers and delivered and it set up the entire thing for me. LIFE SAVERS! The party was held in our courtyard by the pool.
Let’s talk about all the pretty paper at each setting. My friend Jackie at 42 Pressed is behind those masterpieces. Each one was unique and different and she freaking killed it.
The menu cards. No two are alike. Jackie actually letter pressed overprints over and over again to produce each one. Freaking amazing. I couldn’t get enough of them.
Speaking of the menu, I asked my friends at Caviar & Bananas to cater, because duh. Every party that I go to that they cater is freaking amazing. If you haven’t had their pimento cheese or kale salad then you are missing out on the world’s finest. Trust me. They have two locations downtown that you can stop into and try. I dare you.
They even came and plated everything for me and made it all look so pretty! See how spoiled I am now?! Just hanging around sipping champagne.
We sipped on water and Kate Spade anniversary champagne because that’s how bloggers roll. Ha! Actually I had sweet tea as well but forgot to set it out. Ooops.
Hopefully no one noticed. So happy to have my friends stop by and hang for a little while.
Thank you to all who helped with the lunch. Never would have happened without them. Seriously. Like, I wouldn’t have even attempted it last weekend. So thank you thank you!
