Yesterday we got home from a long weekend in Martha’s Vineyard with my family celebrating my Dad’s birthday. We had so much fun. We stayed at the Tilton House at Hobknob – can’t recommend it enough. It’s part of the Inn and the staff there was so friendly and helpful. It’s right in the downtown area of Edgartown, too, so walking to the restaurants and shopping was so easy.
This was my pink bedroom :)
Here we are with my brother and sister in law at 20 by Nine.
Such a pretty island – lots of perfect little cedar shake homes with perfect lawns.
Restaurant wise, I especially loved the basement bar at Atria in Edgartown and the Red Cat Kitchen in Oak Bluffs.
Meanwhile… South Carolina has been getting absolutely poured on, as I’m sure you all know. The flooding has been catastrophic. So far our home has remained flood damage free, but unfortunately I can’t say that for many in our state. Thank goodness the cities planned well and had rescue services in play immediately. And the neighbors helping neighbors stories have been heartwarming. My friend Anna told me that her friend’s dad Dr. Mac McFadden used his boat to rescue many of his neighbors in Columbia yesterday morning.

And for some other life lately moments… Look at this simple but cute baby shower cake that was at my friend Molly’s shower last weekend. So fun!
Some new favorite things lying around my house – the new Palm Beach Chic book, the blooming sequin cuff bracelet, the blooming sequin earrings, and the faceted stone earrings. The jewelry is all J.Crew and 25% off.
I’m obsessed with Lilly and Fletcher’s new thank you notes that I ordered from Tiny Prints! Aren’t they fun?
This moment captured below of Fletcher lecturing me about our dissatisfactory supply of goldfish :)
A budget friendly fall outfit – black flats, boyfriend jeans, stripe long sleeve tee, and round sunglasses.
And my white leather Everlane street shoes and grey blanket wrap cape.
School’s out today for the flooding! Hoping to keep the kids entertained :)
Your trip looked amazing!
Glad your home is ok! How devastating for the area.
We finally planned our girls trip to charleston in November! Can’t believe our timing but fingers crossed everything will be better by then. Praying for everyone there to stay safe!
Glad you guys didn’t get hit to hard with the flooding! Such a scary time for people in SC. Love the thank you cards for the kids :) So sweet!
