I’m highlighting an artist crush today who is full of talent and that I’ve talked about before. Chambers Austelle is a Charleston girl who first caught my eye thanks to her lady portrait series. I commissioned her to do a portrait for Coral House and couldn’t be happier with how the piece turned out. Now she has me coveting more pieces from her upcoming Birdcage Exhibition!
Lilly and I popped by the Beresford Studios gallery over the weekend for a sneak peek of some of the pieces. This pink lady below is Lilly’s most favorite (and I think maybe mine, too). Isn’t her face exquisite? I love her raised eyebrow.
I can’t wait to see the whole exhibit come together because these are just the beginning. There will be a mix of portraits and abstracts and prices begin at $150. The show opens this Friday night (February 10th) with a reception from 6 – 9 at Beresford Studios located at 20 Fulton Street downtown Charleston (right by Fulton Five). Maybe I’ll see some of you there? And you can follow along with Chambers on her instagram!
i discovered her work through your blog and i absolutely LOVE it!
