I’m a little embarrassed that I’m sharing the Southern C Summit recap so late, but I just saw the images from the event and wanted to tell y’all a little bit about it. If you’ve been reading here for awhile then you’re probably familiar with it because I’ve been involved with it the past 4 years! But basically it’s a really fun conference for all creative fields – think blogs, pr firms, artists, designers, entrepreneurs… This year’s summit was held at The Cloister on Sea Island, GA. The venue and experience was absolutely amazing!

The Summit schedule is always packed with amazing presenters! My favorites this year included Gray Malin (you know I’m a huge fan) and Libbie Summers! Every year I come home with new ideas and inspiration, and this year was no exception. Libbie particularly inspired me to incorporate more video in my content – and it’s something that you may have noticed I’ve been working on, particularly on instagram.
One of the things I love the most about this conference is the group of people. It is seriously such a nice and talented group! Whitney and Cheri, the founders, weave attendees and presenters into the programming with shopping cocktail hours – this is so cool because it showcases the products that so many of the attendees make! I really loved this Charleston glass by Cat Studio and the shrimp dip from Big T!
There is plenty of time for socializing, too, which is important to me (I’m way too restless to sit in a chair all day). Beautiful luncheons, happy hours, a dance party (dj’d by my friend Deirdre!), and this beautiful presenter dinner that I was so honored to attend.
If the Southern C is listening I’d like to put my vote in for the next summit to be back at the Cloister again! The whole week was perfection :) Thanks for another fun time!
