Yep, the sunglasses I was wishing for.
I was ultra spoiled this year, and I hope you were too. We spent the holiday with my family up in Kentucky and Indiana, was so lovely. We even got snow on Christmas Eve. It was so magical to watch it fall. Next time I will be better prepared and have a snowsuit to throw on Lilly so she can truly enjoy it!
While we were in Kentucky we stayed at my Dad’s home, which is incredibly gorgeous and surrounded by beautiful rolling hills. I staked out this little barn for a rustic photo-op. I think it’s so cool.
Perhaps you can tell that my husband wasn’t feeling the photo session, ha! Perhaps if he would dress a little more appropriately for the weather… Next time I suppose.
Anyway, we got back to Charleston this evening and it feels so good to be home. I will say I’m a little daunted by what all needs to be done (unpacking, taking down Christmas decor…). Why is it that it’s never as joyful to take down the decorations as it is to put them up?! I know I’m not the first to feel this way.
That barn is AMAZING. You have to plan a photo session there!!
I have to ask, who is your photographer in that family pic? They did a phenomenal job! And what great scenery! haha
The sunglasses are so chic! And I say enjoy the Christmas decorations a few more days :) New Year’s Day is perfect for packing up. Good luck!
Sounds like a wonderful Christmas! I’m right there with you though…Christmas decorations staring me in the face, and the boxes they go in all piled in the garage! But it was worth it :)
Dear Chassity,
take it easy – look through your glasses (they are so noble!!) and think by yourself: ok, now I take down the Christmas decoration, but soon comes Easter….. :-))
Love Hugs

Well, aren’t you adorable??! Love the glasses, you stylin’ mama! I always dread taking down the Christmas decorations :( Glad you had a wonderful Christmas!
Love the glasses you lucky girl! I too just got back in town yesterday and I have spent all morning just putting up all our Christmas gifts! I still need to undecorate, do laundry and clean bathrooms! ugh its gonna be a long day, but I am so glad to be back home!
You look like a movie star in those new shades!
How are you so darn adorable?? Looked like a magical Christmas. That barn is an amazing photo op. Love shots like that. Even my four year old says, “Mom, when are you going to take my pink christmas tree our of my room. I am tired of looking at it.” what??? Oh boy. Time to get un-decorating!
You look great in those!! Kentucky is beautiful, glad you had a great trip. My decor is just staring at me…waiting to come down! :/
