I love both of those seaside paintings and they’re by a Charleston artist! And those fruity wedge sandals omg so fun. Also, who has a Vitamix? A few of my friends have them and swear by them for ALLLL the things and it’s now on my wishlist. And that floral swimsuit – obsessed! Have a wonderful weekend!!
We are slowly but surely making our new house feel all settled (our dishwashers finally arrived last week!). One of the new updates that makes me the most happy is our new window treatments from Hunter Douglas. I wanted custom roman shades for our family room and some of our bathrooms, and I worked with Hunter Douglas because their quality is seriously top notch, and they have partnerships with amazing artists. Our roman shades are made with Rebecca Atwood fabric, one of my favorite designers, and I love the subtle pattern and color it adds to our space! Here in Charleston Hunter Douglas partners with Kiawah Island Shades for all of the measuring and installation and it was the easiest process!
These colors in my room have Springy Easter vibes to me so I thought I’d go with that feel since Easter is so close with some house item updates for Spring entertaining!
I love their new stripe tablecloths – they come in a few colors and are a good price. And I love the wicker lanterns perfect for spring porch hanging. I swear my family could use a laundry hamper in every room of our house and this white woven one is so pretty like furniture.
February is such a weird month for me for no specific reason other than I want to mostly hibernate and hang around the house. So looking inward I thought I’d share some of the main things consuming my time this month – from the shows I’m watching and the books I’m reading, to what I’m eating and wearing and using around the house!
First thing’s first I love The Gilded Age show on HBO. Are you watching? It has Downtown Abby vibes but based in New York. I love a period piece. And the scenery.
How I Met Your Father — (Photo by: Patrick Wymore/Hulu)
How I Met Your Father on Hulu is such a fun reboot (is that what we call this one? Spin off?) of How I Met Your Mother. The cast is great and I just love the mysterious premise of it.
The Inheritance Games series books are really good if you like YA! I just finished The Hawthorne Legacy (book 2) and have preordered the next one that comes out this summer.
Speaking of pre-orders, Our American Friend comes out next week and I can’t wait for it to download to my Kindle! I think it’s going to be a really good one!
I don’t think we’ve talked about Wordle but it’s a part of my morning routine. Obsessed.
If you saw my stories yesterday then you know I just started the Kroma 5 Day Wellness Reset program. This is my second day and so far so good. Each day you have 10 different things to eat/drink and you can add some veggies and fruits so it’s really quite doable in my opinion! I wasn’t hungry yesterday. I have a discount code in case anyone is interested in doing it! CHASSITY10
I bought this Hot Water Kettle for my Kroma program and am kind of wondering why I didn’t have one before. I really like drinking hot water with lemon and this will lend itself well to that!
Our stove arrived which means cooking is back on in full at our house (though not as much for me this week lol). I’m a dutch oven all in one pot kind of cook. Anyone else? Soups and bolognese are my jam.
I feel like I always have a mug in my hand and this Coffee Mug is from my friend Liz’s shop Olive Lane – and today they launched a Friends and Family Sale with 20% off so many awesome kitchen and dining items.
I’ve been using the Ilia Skin Tint (#3) that everyone raves about and I get the raving. Have you tried it? I feel like it brightens up my face. I apply it with this beauty sponge.
Part of hibernating means cozy sweats and I have multiple pairs of these Balanced Joggers. I swear they’re the best.
I ordered this sheer bra and it is so gorgeous. I love a thin bra that doesn’t add bulk. It fits true to size!
Last but not least it’s been so cold here in Charleston and this Fluffy Shearling Pullover is one of my favorite things. I actually got two of them bc Lilly stole my first one. Note, this is fluffy and warm and not what you’ll wear to the club. Lol. But it’s delightful.
I hope you had a great weekend! Today I’m sharing a few things are on my radar for my house and for my closet. And for Valentine’s Day, too because can you even believe it’s next week already?! :)
Olive Fringe Dress – Obsessed doesn’t describe. On it’s way to me! The fringe sleeve detail you has me.
I spent the weekend at High Hampton in Cashiers, NC with my girlfriends and it was such a gorgeous spot that I have to share. It’s about a 4 and a half hour drive from Charleston so it’s fairly easy to get to and enjoy some mountain air. We went to attend my friend Molly Fienning’s Sip Series at the hotel. She owns Red Clay and she hosted a really fun cocktail class at the resort! Here are some (many) photos of our weekend at High Hampton and the beautiful resort. Every corner was more beautiful than the next so get ready for a lot of pictures.
These are the girls I was with, Grace Atwood, Molly Fienning, Kate Stevenson, and Jackie Thomson. We stayed in the 4 bedroom Halstead Cottage which was a wonderful space with soaking tubs and a common area to hang. Highly recommend.
Cute shot of my floral weekender bag and Lake robe. High Hampton is managed by the same owners of Blackberry Farm so you know the cuisine is incredible. The food you guys. Out of this world. The menu changed daily, and I’m dreaming of every single thing I ate.
And the recently renovated Inn and common spaces were my most favorite. All of the fabrics and patterns and colors couldn’t have been more lovely together. And the rooms are filled with lots of games and activities making it such a comfortable common space that you want to be a part of.
I wore my Sorel booties during the day they’re so comfy and warm (and on sale right now).
The Red Clay Sip Series class was so fun too. We made 4 cocktails and learned some tricks from the bartender Kelly! If you’re looking for a good time to go this winter I recommend planning around one of these events. Also if you want to order any Red Clay products use my code CHASSITY30 for 30% off sitewide!
My Cotopaxi coat was plenty warm for the cold temps.
A cozy and relaxing girls weekend was just what I needed. I’m wearing my Printfresh pajamas here and reading The Hawthorne Legacy. Also note the cute cushion on the headboard, love this design idea!
In summary High Hampton gets my highest approval. I can’t wait to go back and would love to make it there this summer with the kids! Put it on your bucket list!
