Happy Wednesday! I’m sharing some of my recent purchases that I’m loving and recommend – with a few thoughts on each! MVP is the new GABB phone! Followed by this black swingy sweater and my leather oval bag.

black floral mini dress – This is one of my new favorites and I’ve already worn it 3 times, lol.

oval leather bag – Another one of my favorite things. It’s the perfect size and shape!

true botanicals face oil – Just re-ordered my favorite fave oil in the “clear” version! My tried and true for 5 years.

black sweater – Everlane’s sweaters are my most favorite and I love this square shape. I’ll be wearing this with black pants and jeans constantly this fall and winter and spring. You just wait.

white top – A fresh white button down for fall, makes me so happy! Comes in other colors, too and I love the easy shape!

seamless undies – Seamless and full coverage is the only way I go, lol.

chappywrap blanket – This is my 3rd Chappywrap blanket and you guys I can’t say enough about them. They’re literally the softest blanket you’ll ever own and just get better with each wash.

Gabb phone – Okay you guys I’m the most excited about this new purchase. The Gabb phone is a phone for kids that has NO INTERNET (so no web browsing, no social media) and also no games. What it does have is phone calling (not FaceTime), text messaging, a camera, and a legit GPS. I’m so happy about this. We got this for Lilly after she begged for a few months. I’m glad she has a safe way to contact us when she’s out and about more now that she’s a middle schooler (the horror) and I can always check her GPS to see where she is. Such a game changer for young kids who aren’t ready for iPhones!! They have a watch version, too that we might get for Fletch. Gabb gave me a code to share for $10 off the $100 phone (LLL10) and $30 off the $100 watch (LLL30). I’m trying to SPREAD THE WORD so parents can get on this bandwagon instead of iPhones.

RMS primer – I don’t wear primer every day but when I’m going out I like to just to make my make set evenly and smoothly. This new RMS primer is amazing!!

woven pendant – We ordered this for our bedroom in our new house and I’m SO excited!!

Four Winds book – I recently finished this book and while it was super heavy, super heavy, I did enjoy it and I finished it feeling like I learned something about our country’s history that I just didn’t really know much about before. I recommend it!

cream floral maxi – This is one of the most flattering smocked maxis that I recently got and I love the big sleeves and the pattern!

cheeky jeans – Because it’s jeans season and these new Everlane jeans are perfection. I love how they show you how they look on models of all different sizes!!

This past Friday our family took a fabulous little staycation here in Charleston in the heart of downtown at Emeline. I’ve stayed there before with girlfriends, and the kids really wanted to do it, too, so when Emeline offered to host us I couldn’t turn it down! Living in Charleston is wonderful and there are so many things we take advantage of daily, but staying downtown and being in the thick of it really switches things up and feels special.

Above, I’m wearing this black and cream floral dress.

We stayed in a suite with two kings and a separate living room with a sofa that pulls out into a bed for extra space. The rooms are decorated really cool and come with a record player with a special “house mix”!

Upon unpacking Lilly informed us that she purposely “forgot” to pack pajamas so that we’d have to go to Lake for a new pair. I mean, I’ll admit I was impressed with her scheme. Luckily King Street is right there and totally walkable. These are her new fall pajamas she picked out.

After some downtown shopping we got ready for dinner downstairs at Frannie & The Fox, a spot I go to a lot for girls nights. I’m obsessed with their burnt honey pizza – I order it every time!

I wore my new cream and black long dress and oval leather bag and Loeffler heels to dinner. It’s my new favorite dress. It can be worn off the shoulder, too.

One last shot of the pretty hotel. My favorite part of Emeline is the lobby spaces, and shop, and restaurants (both Clerks and Frannie & The Fox). It’s just a fun space to be in. If you’re looking for a lovely hotel in a great location downtown Charleston I totally recommend Emeline!!

I have an all new Amazon Favorite round up today, including the blender that was recommended to me on Instagram by y’all yesterday! It’s beautiful enough to leave on the counter, too!

stripe sweatshirt, dry shampoo, floral dress, honest tint balms, virtual reality game,

kitchen utensils set, walnut bookcase, sweater tank, yellow plaid poncho,

blue and white dress, black dress, storage bowls, honest moisturizer, beast blender

I just ordered the summer melon shade of the Honest tinted lip balms (just $9 each!). That R+Co Dry Shampoo is my most favorite dry shampoo, trust. It comes out in a powder form! The striped sweatshirt, adorbs. The walnut bookcase is a total score and on sale for just $200. And that black Xirena dress – obsessed.

Lastly, it may seem like a weird addition for one of my Amazon round ups but we were recently at a friends and they had the Oculus Virtual Reality Headset and you guys, it’s so freaking cool. Check out the video here, such a fun gift for Christmas (not that I’m an early shopper and have started any of that).

Sponsored by Backcountry and ShopStyle.

Summer in Charleston can be brutally hot, especially in August. And while hiding inside in the air conditioning is an option, getting outside is good for my soul. Long walks are like my meditation. The key is wearing breathable light and supportive clothes (I found my entire outfit at Backcountry), staying hydrated, and finding breezy walking and running paths. Paths like this one that are so windy they keep you cool (but make picture taking difficult when you forget your hair tie, lol). Finding athletic wear to keep you cool is really easy right now because it’s Backcountry’s Semi-Annual Sale, and today and tomorrow you get to take an additional 20% off of select apparel, footwear, and accessories!

This Splitz59 jersey tank top is basically the best workout top ever. It’s light and breezy and soft and stretchy! I’m in a size medium. If you are a new Backcountry customer then use code LOOKLINGERLOVE for 15% off full-priced items on your first order (exclusions apply).

And my Adidas shorts remind me of my long ago track days running the 100 meter dash. Glory days. I love them. I’m wearing the size medium.

Wearing:

light heather grey Splitz59 jersey tank top, Free People FP Movement sports bra,

black Adidas shorts, Nike running shoes, Yeti rambler chug water bottle

Lilly took these photos during one of our evening walks together. I feel like our conversations are always so good when we go on a walk with no distractions, she’s much more likely to open up. We love to walk the Pitt Street Bridge together because it has a nice breeze and pretty views! Here are 3 more great spots in Charleston to beat the summer heat!

3 Spots to Beat the Summer Heat in Charleston:

The Ravenel Bridge – 2.5 miles long (5 miles round trip)

Charleston Beaches – Folly, Sullivan’s, or IOP

The Battery – Gorgeous views and a great breeze

I don’t think I’ve ever received as many compliments on running shoes as I have on these Nike running shoes just this past week. They’re really comfortable, like really comfortable, and so cute! I always size up in my tennis shoes for extra room in the toes, so I’m in a size 8. They’re also a part of of the Semi-Annual sale!

You just can’t beat a Yeti cup, and this one holds 18 oz and has a comfortable drinking spout (not the case with some of the other water bottles that I own) and it’s dishwasher safe!

This Free People FP Movement bra is stretchy and supportive and soft all at the same time. It’s so comfortable that I’m wearing it right now as I type.

I also wanted to include this La Sportiva hoodie jacket that I ordered. It’s way too hot in Charleston to wear it right now but I brought it to Lake Michigan last week for the cooler weather in the morning and night, and it’s my new favorite cozy warm layer. It’s fleece lined with a reversible design, so it’s like 2 jackets in one!

I’m obsessed with this pacific blue color. Here’s a close up shot so you can see the texture.

Okay 2 last things to note:

One, use the code LOOKLINGERLOVE for 15% off full-priced items on your first order (exclusions apply). Backcountry carries the best outdoor brands and products!

Two, right now is Backcountry’s Semi-Annual Sale with lots of mark downs up to 50% off select styles! And today and tomorrow you can take an extra 20% off select apparel, footwear, and accessories (applies during checkout)! I’m including some of my favorite mark down finds in the widget below, like this tank top that’s marked down to $16!

Good morning and happy Friday! Kicking off the weekend with my latest Amazon finds and favorites! Starting with these Blender Bombs that are my latest obsession. Seriously so good and packed with nutrients. I even eat them plain as is and not with the smoothie when I’m short on time!!

Blender Bombs

Here are more of my Amazon favorites!

the Blue Bistro book, gold wall sconces, grey sweatshirt, cabinet organizer,

black dress, blender bombs, white towels, blue and white striped dress,

aqua dress, cereal dispensers, cotton tank dress, acupuncture mat

If you haven’t read Elin Hilderbrand’s Blue Bistro book then you should, it might be my favorite of hers. Have you ever tried one of those acupuncture mats? I was just at a friend’s house a couple of days ago and they have one and rave about it – I stepped on it and it’s kind of amazing! Those cereal dispensers would make school mornings super easy and they’re cute! And I really like that cotton tank midi dress and it’s only $30 and comes in 6 colors. Have a great weekend!
