Young Adulting Podcast:

My friend Grace just launched her first podcast, Young Adulting. It’s all about books they’ve read, which perfectly suits because I go to Grace for a lot of my book recommendations. I haven’t yet listened to the podcast but am SO excited to do it! Be sure to check it out, too!

Sullivan’s Island Dinner:

My friends Jane Pope, Way Way Allen, and Lauren Lail hosted the most gorgeous dinner on Sullivan’s that I had the honor of attending and it’s featured on Rue Magazine. Check it out here!

Marysia Holiday on Vogue:

I just remembered that I never shared this! We celebrated Thanksgiving last year on Harbour Island. That week we had a great time with friends also celebrating the Marysia at the Dunmore launch and it’s featured on Vogue! Check it out.

Harbour Island Map:

Speaking of Harbour Island, one of our recent renters was the amazingly talented jewelry designer Melanie Auld. She recapped their getaway along with their latest collection shoot in the sweetest blog post. And I LOVE the watercolor map that her team made :) Check it out here!

Burberry Bag Crush:

My latest Burberry bag crush. And I’m 99.9% sure I can’t resist this one.

Pretty flowers from Out of Hand with Lake star pjs :)

Girl brunch with my friends Haskell and Molly at Husk. I’m wearing this pink embroidered dress (love it, comes in 6 other colors).

These white heels were one of my best recent purchases. They go with everything and the heel is the perfect height! Also pictured, these jeans, this rockstud bag, and this stripe rug.

At the INTRO art show with Anna and Gray.

Charleston is in BLOOM y’all. It’s the prettiest time of year.

The prettiest dinner set up at my friend Jackie’s house. Similar palm place mats here.

We’ve had some warm and sunny days here in Charleston :)

Charleston’s restaurant scene is literally bursting with amazing options. There seems to be a new and highly anticipated restaurant opening every week. While Tuckernuck was here shooting their current Lifestyle Guide we stopped by Basic Kitchen (one of my new favorites) for a drink and some snacks. They serve a local and healthy menu and I love going there for breakfast or lunch.  Not to mention it’s absolutely beautiful inside.

My favorite items on Basic Kitchen’s menu are the cauliflower “wings” and the rainbow bowl. SO good!

I’m Wearing:

black off shoulder dress, woven clutch,

nude scalloped heels, gold trellis earrings

Gray’s Wearing:

red mod top, white skinny jeans,

nude scalloped heels, watermelon clutch, raffia earrings

With so many good restaurant options here in Charleston it’s hard to go wrong, but we have some places that stand out to me as the best. So in no particular order here are my current top 10 spots.

CURRENT TOP 10 CHARLESTON RESTAURANTS:

Xiao Bao Biscuit – My #1 spot in town. I’m addicted to the Mapo Dou Fu!

Le Farfalle – I’ve never had a pasta there that I haven’t loved.

Basic Kitchen – Healthy, fresh, and gorgeous space!

Halls – Best steak house in town. The people watching in the bar is entertaining, too.

Indaco – You can’t go wrong here. I especially love the burrata and the bolognese pizza.

The Ordinary – Grab a seat at the bar & order the crab toast (& a lobster roll if you’re there on a Tuesday).

167 Raw – I might be a creature of habit but I suggest the lobster roll!

Little Jacks Tavern – Best burger in town, imo.

Obstinate Daughter – On Sullivan’s Island. Amazing food in a beautiful setting.

Goat Sheep Cow North – Great spot to cozy up with a cheese board, fondue, and wine.

Special Shout Outs:

Workshop – Upscale food court and family friendly, too

Restaurant Tu – There’s nothing like it in Charleston, & bonus it’s by the co-owners of XBB

Betty’s – Diner style, family friendly in Mt Pleasant

The Daily at The Gibbes – Perfect excuse to see what’s new at Charleston’s best museum

Rarebit – Great late night food.

I’m so excited today to share the new Tuckernuck March 2018 Lifestyle Guide! I, along with my dear friends Gray Benko and Molly Fienning, had the great honor of showing the Tuckernuck team around Charleston for a few days, and needless to say, we had the BEST time. You all know how much I love Tuckernuck, so getting to spend a few days with their talented and fun team was pretty amazing. And I love how the guide turned out! Take a look…

I would be so honored if you would click over to see the feature in full on Tuckernuck’s site. They have all the links to all the products so it’s easy to navigate :) And I can’t wait to share more photos, all taken by the very talented photographer Foster K. White, in the coming days :)

Happy International Women’s Day! As mother, wife, and friend it means so much to me to see women celebrated and lifted. I know I just shared these photos last week in Lilly’s Bedroom Reveal post but I want to share these three again today to highlight one of the best books Lilly and I have ever read (and we’ve read a lot!).

Bedtime Stories for Rebel Girls is comprised of 100 stories about the lives of 100 extraordinary women from the past and present. All beautifully illustrated by 60 amazingly talented female artists from around the world. This book is so good that I think every girl should own it. We are getting the sequel  edition, Bedtime Stories for Rebel Girls 2, for Lilly for Easter.

“Adventure is worthwhile in itself” – Amelia Earhart. Check out the Rebel Girls books right here :)
