Look Linger Love

I’m so excited for this weekend because on Sunday my favorite Charleston home store is kicking off their Spring Flea Market at their warehouse! Celadon always has THE BEST finds, and the Sunday Flea is extra special because they invite local vendors to share their products!

It’s like a big party – in addition to the shopping there will be food trucks, face painting, live music, and a jump castle! I hope to see some of you there :) If you can’t make it this weekend you can catch the next Sunday Flea! They’ll be taking place on the LAST Sunday of every month March through August! If you want to apply to be a local vendor at the Flea you should totally apply with Celadon!

Yesterday I had so much fun taking over the Draper James instagram account to share stories from the Boone Hall Oyster Festival! Josh and I were married at Boone Hall so I love to get back there whenever I can (even if for an oyster festival when I’m allergic to oysters). It was really so much fun! How fun is this stripe shirt (love the little flare sleeves)!

I wore this cream jacket, this stripe top, this cylinder bag, tassel earrings, this prong ring, and these sunglasses.

I visited my friend Molly at their new house downtown and you guys, it is a complete dream. Here are just a couple of my favorite rooms.

Last Thursday I got together with some Charleston friends for an overnight on Wadamalaw Island and had such a nice. It’s so peaceful out there! We are trying to make these get togethers happen 4 times a year to connect! It’s such an inspiring group.

We’ve had some rainy weather in Charleston this month, but overall I can’t complain about our January. Wearing a navy trench, similar rainboots, and this umbrella.

Lastly, I can’t share this life lately post and not acknowledge the state of despair that many are feeling over decisions being made in Washington. I generally try to stay away from political talk here on the blog in an effort to keep it a fun place, but these topics are on my mind many times throughout each day. I’m dreaming of a happier world and am sending lots of love out to it.

I have some exciting news to share – Josh and I purchased an adorable home on our favorite island, Harbour Island in the Bahamas! Coral House (isn’t the name perfect?) was built in the mid 1800’s, is pink, and is full of charm! We’ve been working with my dream architect, Beau Clowney, on some renovations to make it perfect for our family and yours as well because beginning this April 2017 Coral House will be available for rent!!

We’re flying down tomorrow for a few days to get organized and meet with our contractor. I’m so excited to share more of the design process with you – in addition to Beau Clowney, we’re working with many of my favorite brands and artists! We’re adding two bedrooms to make it a comfortable 4 bedroom home, putting in a tiled pool with poolside bar, renovating the kitchen, as well as some other interior and exterior updates. And of course she’s staying pink!

I can’t wait to share more of the design details soon! Decorating an island home has been a dream of mine and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to do it in my favorite vacation spot!
