So I’ve been pretty bad about sharing life lately posts and am going to attempt to jump back into that routine starting today…

I finally got back up to NYC this past month and not just once but twice! Here I am with my cousin Wes.

I KNOW it seems a little too early to talk about Halloween, but you know how quickly the good costumes sell out! My kids are already talking about what they will be so we’ve been spending a lot of time looking around at ideas. A few days ago Fletcher said he wants to be a red power ranger who is dressed up as a hot dog, hahaha. Here are some of my favorites!

Last year will be hard to top in my eyes, Lilly was a gumball machine and Fletcher was an ice cream sandwich :)

Have you all heard about Trunk Club? It’s a personal styling service for both men and women that is dedicated to building dream wardrobes for their clients. I was so excited when they asked me to go through their styling process to share with you all how the service works! Which, by the way, is really fun and really easy.

lll_trunk-22

It all begins with visiting Trunk Club’s website and filling out your unique online profile. This is sort of like those fun style quizzes you see passed around on the internet, but way better. You’ll share your favorite designers, sizes, and answer general lifestyle questions. Once you submit you’ll be paired up with a personal Trunk Club stylist who will give you a call to chat about a little more about your body type and overall wardrobe objective. Shout out to my stylist Molly Blatt for being awesome! She’s a Charleston girl.

Your stylist will put together a preview trunk that you can view on the website (and on their beautiful app) so that you can look over the suggestions, make notes and comments, and veto the items that you don’t love. Once you have a collection of items that you love the trunk will ship to your door!

lll_trunk-1

And then you get to try on all of the pieces in your trunk on your own time in your home. It was kind of like Christmas morning trying on all of these fun pieces. You keep what you want and send back what you don’t – and your stylist will even schedule a UPS pick up at your door (free shipping!). It’s really the easiest!

I love this Vince blouse and it comes in a lot of colors.

This stripe flare top was one of my most favorites from the trunk. The flare sleeves and peplum ruffle are so fun.

And I really love the plaid detail on this Burberry bag!

Trunk Club is perfect for those who are short on time (everyone?), anyone looking for a new way to shop, or those who would just love a second opinion! Trunk Club is partnered with Nordstrom so they are pulling your wardrobe from the very best and have you know they have customer service thing down! There are no fees (you only pay for the items you love and keep). And there are even Trunk Club clubhouses around the US! I’m so excited to see their brand new space opening up in the Cigar Factory here in Charleston soon!

We are officially 2 weeks in to our back to school routine over here (Fletcher still hasn’t started though)! Lilly is happy with her class and teacher, loves her soccer team, and is making new friends! I know it’s going to be a great year. To celebrate going back to school Lilly & Fletcher wanted to invite their friends Farris and Charlie over for a pancake party (Fletcher’s request). Cuteness ensued.

I don’t know what we would have done this summer without our Nutone Haven Mosquito Repellent System (remember when I wrote about here?). It’s so nice to be able to use our courtyard and pool and not get eaten up. And I thought I was the worst about mosquitos, but you should hear my kids complain about it! The whole town should be wired with this stuff. Our backyard barbecues run so much smoother now.

Four fixtures protect an average size courtyard or patio. We (and by “we” I mean “Josh”) installed 8 fixtures to ensure our pool area was protected, too. They can be installed in the ground using the included hardware, or attached to a decking or post with the optional mounting flange. You can find more info about installation in this video here. Each Haven fixture releases an odorless, invisible mosquito repellent that won’t harm plants, flowers, or lawns. The cartridges last for a full season and are easy to replace. And you’ll know when it’s time to replace your cartridge because a green indicator light will blink.

The Haven Backyard Lighting & Mosquito Repellent System is a set of landscape fixtures that provide season long, effective protection from mosquitos. Within 15 minutes of turning it on it clears the area of mosquitos, and it’s odorless and silent! You can schedule your system to turn on with the timer control system by time of day or at dusk with the photo sensor.

The girls invited their doll friends to join the pancake party :)

We’re sad to see summer ending but I’m anxious for fall! It’s my favorite season of all.

After lunch the kids jumped in the pool for the rest of the afternoon, clear of mosquito bites and happy. I highly recommend that you check out Nutone’s Haven Backyard Mosquito Repellent System!

The kids may be back in school but it still feels like a hundred degrees here in Charleston. To beat the heat last week we visited our favorite local museum, the Gibbes Museum of Art! It recently completed a 2 year renovation and we decided it was the perfect excuse to get dressed up in their new Janie & Jack outfits for a special day downtown.

Lilly’s tweet short suit kinda slays me. As soon as I saw it I knew she needed to own it. It even has a little rosette peplum top and tweed beret to coordinate.

LLL_8-9-16_janieandjack-7

It all looks so cute worn together but each piece is great on it’s own as well. It’s Lilly’s current favorite outfit that she owns.

Fletcher’s Janie & Jack stripe rugby pullover is the cutest! And he felt so grown up and mature in his green stripe tie. Here he’s trying to imitate a serious face like the subjects in this painting.

LLL_8-9-16_janieandjack-12

And his navy suede boots are so cool! I kinda want to get them in the khaki color, too.

Janie & Jack’s designs could seriously make any day feel special. From the fabrics to the tailoring, all of the details make the collection special. Check out Janie & Jack for even more cute finds and come back and tell me which you love. I have my eye on this emerald green swing coat for Lilly and this quilted vest for Fletcher.
