In honor of spring updating for all, I’m highlighting one of Josh’s (and my) favorite mens brands. Jack Spade, Kate Spade’s sophisticated brother brand, is the perfect mix of classic and tailored without being stuffy.

Here are some of my favorite things, with special shout outs to the “blow” embroidered pocket square and the houndstooth dobby shirt.

text stamp, chambray shirt, toiletry kit, print shirt,

dobby short sleeve shirt, waxwear bag, swim trunks,

gingham shirt, slim trousers, “blow” pocket square, floral tie

One of Josh’s favorite blazers is from the Jack Spade collection, and we also really like the fit of their jeans. Check out all of Jack Spade’s new spring arrivals here!

Oh and for anyone wondering what the self inking text stamp says…

Kids grow like WEEDS. And the change of season brings new wardrobes for my kids since they’ve outgrown 60% of last year’s clothes. But at least kids clothes are really fun to buy. One of my favorite sites to browse is Nordstrom thanks to their constant stream of stylish new arrivals.

As soon as I saw this bird print jumper skirt I knew that Lilly needed it. The print is adorable and is neutral enough to mix with bright colors. She’ll be able to wear it a million ways this summer!

lll_lilly_birddress-4

This long sleeve stripe top Lilly is wearing underneath is super soft (in fact, that’s the name of it) and a great price! It comes in 5 different color options, too!

And aren’t these mini Jack Rogers sandals adorable? She needed to have a pair like mine :) So easy to slip on and the highest quality!

Oh! I’m so happy to share the Norstrom carrie’s Babiator sunglasses. The owners of Babiators are dear friends of Josh and mine. Lilly & Fletcher have been wearing their sunglasses for a couple of years now. They seriously are the best for kids – they stay on their little faces and are pretty much impossible to break! We also love the swim goggles!

lll_lilly_birddress-3

Check out Nordstrom’s kid section here! They carry so many of my favorite kids brands like Mini Boden, Lilly PulitzerTea Collection, Jack Rogers, and Kate Spade! The new arrivals section is the perfect place to go check and feel like you know what’s out there and cool right now :) Clothing, swimwear, shoes, accessories, toys – all of it!

PS – Along with what you see Lilly wearing here, she also has this stripe dress and this pink dress – which is on sale 40% off right now! Also, Fletcher has these shoes and they’re THE BEST!!

Lilly’s Wearing:

bird print jumper skirt, long sleeve stripe tee,

gold leather sandals, pink aviator sunglasses

I’m so very excited to see our home featured in Real Simple’s April 2016 issue on stands right now! And when I say I’m “so very excited” what I mean is that I’m perma-grinning. Real Simple is one of my most favorite magazines and it was my first magazine of choice for sharing our home.

The focus of our home story is bringing in color to a white house. I feel very happy with how the images and story turned out – it really is a true representation of our home and style.

It was so great to see so many of my favorite brands and artists that I’ve worked with and collected over the years represented in this feature. It all feels so close to me. The beautiful custom sofa and upholstered headboard both from Taylor Burke Home, our Land of Nod shelving in the playroom, and too many pieces to name from my local favorite Celadon.

Thank you so much to Stephanie Sisco, Real Simple’s Home Editor, for the feature and story. Also thank you to Real Simple’s Rachael Wiener for the beautiful styling. And lastly, thank you to the photographer Francesco Lagnese for the beautiful images! What an amazing experience for which I am so grateful.

PS- There’s an online version of the story here if you’d like to check it out (though I encourage you all to please pick up a copy)!

Happy Monday! It’s been like a month or something since I last shared a life lately post so I figure we are due :)

Charleston has bloomed pink the last couple of weeks and the weather has been just about perfect. Been living in dresses and sandals outside as much as possible.  This tie-back dress is by a new favorite brand of mine, Lilla P. Everything is so soft and has a nice weight for perfect draping! Wearing it with my new Chloe bag and cheetah LR sandals!

And speaking of kids, can we talk about how big Fletcher is getting? Makes my heart happy to see him grow to be this sweet, smart, and funny boy – but a little sad, too. I know this is so normal to feel this way. And random, but I just found a pink version of this rug and it’s so good you have to see it.

IMG_7666

Soooo kinda major news in my life, our home is featured on 8 pages in Real Simple’s April’s issue! Sooooo excited about this and I love how it turned out. Go check it out, and more to share on the feature soon.

Went to Obstinate Daughter with all my local girlfriends for my birthday brunch and had the best time on what felt like one of the best days. I feel so lucky to have so many really genuine, fun, amazing ladies in my life.

Shoe line up. I think this was when I was trying to figure out what to wear to Historic Charleston Foundation’s Antique Preview Party last week. It was so much fun. If any of you locals are looking to get involved with protecting Charleston’s historical architecture and heritage please join us! I’m part of the preservationist committee and my whole role is making sure fun parties and events happen for the younger generation to get involved :)

I wore my yellow off the shoulder dress (also available in red here, and then I also found a super cute more casual version of it here). And y’all might remember I blogged this blue dress that Gray ordered. It’s so adorable and is under $90 and also comes in black!

Those monogrammed pineapple cocktail napkins – can’t even. The most perfect gift for a friend, family member, or hostess. The dipped baskets would be cute anywhere. And wouldn’t that big hashtag balloon be cool at an event? So fun. And those camel cookies… Exquisite!

I’ve zhushed up our mudroom! This little side room is our go to spot for school bags, coats, and all of our random odd things.

lll_mudroom-6

It gets good light thanks to a window and the white walls. I love to add color with art and accessories, so when I found this umbrella print on One Kings Lane I pretty much just had to have it. And y’all know I’ve found a lot of amazing umbrella prints on OKL… this one just felt extra special to me. It is my belief that yellow goes with everything :)

lll_mudroom-9

It’s by my new most favorite travel photographer, Natalie Obradovich – just wait until you see her whole collection!! She’s amazing. No one captures color in photographs better! And she’s reasonably priced with the frame included and all!

lll_mudroom-8

Fletcher likes it, too :)

I keep a few baskets handy in our mudroom for organizing the little things and/or easily grabbing for beach and park trips. I love this stripe floor basket – perfect for toys, towels, or corralling shoes!

A few more of my favorites from Natalie ObraDovich’s photograph collection include these orange umbrellas and this beach scene. She even took a few on, my fave, Harbour Island!

Get The Look:

yellow umbrella print, stripe throw, printed pillows, white bench,

baskets, wall sconce, pink trench, fringe sandals, black hat,

and this rug resembles our tile
