The “more gin please” cross stitch craft kit is such a fun idea. She has a lot of different patterns in her shop including a cute flamingo one! And the jumbo animal balloons would be fun for party photo props.

And I have a few friend makers in this mix too – top right feature my friend Sarah’s $10 watercolor paintings! I have one and love it. The middle left features safe and natural soaps handmade right here in Charleston! And the middle right features a lumbar pillow from my friend Danielle’s brand new pillow shop! Lots of cute textiles over there.

I guess it’s been awhile since I’ve done a life lately because I’m reaching as far back as Christmas! I’m lame, sorry.

So for Christmas we flew up to Kentucky and Indiana to spend time with my side of the family. Always fun to get up there and see everyone.

I feel like I saw a lot of people in my instagram feed playing the pie face game over the holidays… any of y’all? The kids absolutely love it. Get it.

What I probably love most about being up there with my family is seeing the kids play with their cousins. Wish they could hang all the time. Btw isn’t my niece’s pink bed adorable??

Tradition is Josh and I and my brother and his wife head to French Lick for a night of gambling. The West Baden Hotel was built in 1902 and is truly beautiful. It’s a circular building with a large dome – we actually studied it during one of my courses at Indiana University (way back when).

This blush Rimowa suitcase is one of my most favorite gifts this year – you all might remember I mentioned that it was on my wish list! It’s light as a feather and super durable!

Fringe sweater dress (obsessed, great with black leggings too), pink & red ornament clutch, and black pumps.

Spent a night at the beach with friends – what a view! Wish I could wake up to this every day.

Can any of y’all tell me WHY men must shave a ridiculous mustache when they shave off their beard? I lived with this for about 3 days…

We spent NYE at home with the kids and it was wonderful. I was the only one awake at midnight and I missed the countdown because I had my nose in a book :)

My big pocket sweater dress and Charleston rice beads necklace.

Beautiful sunny King Street here in Charleston!

It’s soup season over here – loving my new Staub cocotte in white!

IMG_5027

Bright and pretty in Lilly’s bathroom… Target shower curtain and Dash & Albert stripe rug.

My good friend Liz came to town with her family so naturally I took them to XBB! Favorite. I dream about that spicy tofu with pork bolognese dish.

When your shoes match your bag!! My blue suede pumps are available here!

And I’m finally getting to pull out some of my favorite new scarves! This one is from Mignonne Gavigan. Also, my navy trench is currently on sale, and so is my J. McLaughlin zip tote!

That beach print – I mean! Mind blowing out of my head right now. Could be cool in that print/poster hanger right in the middle. Love that idea – I have one of those for a calendar in my house! And that whale tissue holder would be so cute in a bathroom, child’s room, or a classroom! And that kilim/wooden stool is fun as hell, right? The vintage Peruvian runners – obviously I’m in love with those. And they’re priced really well! Also, those bunny dolls are TOO cute and would be great Valentine’s or Easter gifts.

And speaking of Valentine’s Day – those pocket manfriends… so perfect for your single friends. If they’re particularly saucy get them two ;) I’m kind of obsessed with them.

This was my most liked instagram of 2015. And I think that’s pretty great. Charleston coming together as one. A wonderful reminder just 2 days before Christmas.
