My heart has been sad and also warmed this last week watching all of the SC flood coverage. Thankfully our home is fine, but unfortunately that’s not the case for all here in our state. It’s been amazing to see the community (and beyond!) come together to offer a hand (or a boat), shelter, vital resources, and donations to those who need them.

For those of you who have wondered how you can help, the Central Carolina Community Foundation has made it easy to donate monetarily directly to the SC Flood Relief. And thanks for all the notes and well wishes.

Yesterday we got home from a long weekend in Martha’s Vineyard with my family celebrating my Dad’s birthday. We had so much fun. We stayed at the Tilton House at Hobknob – can’t recommend it enough. It’s part of the Inn and the staff there was so friendly and helpful. It’s right in the downtown area of Edgartown, too, so walking to the restaurants and shopping was so easy.

This was my pink bedroom :)

Such a pretty island – lots of perfect little cedar shake homes with perfect lawns.

Restaurant wise, I especially loved the basement bar at Atria in Edgartown and the Red Cat Kitchen in Oak Bluffs.

Meanwhile… South Carolina has been getting absolutely poured on, as I’m sure you all know. The flooding has been catastrophic. So far our home has remained flood damage free, but unfortunately I can’t say that for many in our state. Thank goodness the cities planned well and had rescue services in play immediately. And the neighbors helping neighbors stories have been heartwarming. My friend Anna told me that her friend’s dad Dr. Mac McFadden used his boat to rescue many of his neighbors in Columbia yesterday morning.

And for some other life lately moments… Look at this simple but cute baby shower cake that was at my friend Molly’s shower last weekend. So fun!

Some new favorite things lying around my house – the new Palm Beach Chic book, the blooming sequin cuff bracelet, the blooming sequin earrings, and the faceted stone earrings. The jewelry is all J.Crew and 25% off.

I’m obsessed with Lilly and Fletcher’s new thank you notes that I ordered from Tiny Prints! Aren’t they fun?

School’s out today for the flooding! Hoping to keep the kids entertained :)

This morning I’m sharing THE sweetest nursery that my friend Dominique designed for her daughter, Elle. If you haven’t seen it already then get ready!

Didn’t Dominique do an amazing job? No surprise though, since design is what she does! She created such a beautiful space that is still fit for a baby. What a lucky little girl! Thanks for sharing with us, Dominique!

Some favorite details:

peonies wallpaper, banded crib bedding, macrame rug,

ferris wheel art print, crystal chandelier, eames rocker

Happy Friday! Here are a few things that I’ve recently saved to my Etsy favorites :)

Desktop32

dresser,  yellow sofa, moroccan rug,

wall banner, neon sign, felt ball garland,

portrait painting, copper/wood ladder, retro doll

There’s more cuteness from that shop that makes that green dresser – such a fun find. And I love that copper/wood display ladder. And that moroccan rug is pretty great, too.

A little of my life lately!

This past weekend we made a quick trip to Kentucky and Indiana to see my family. It was really so nice to be home and see everyone without any real plans (i.e. holiday). The weather was fabulous, too.

Harvest season at Granny’s… We sat outside roasting s’mores wrapped in blankets this night – put happiness.

Little cylinder bag. Favorite.

As always, moving art around over here. Loving this Sally Benedict piece here above this console. Josh bought this piece for me about 4 years ago, I think.

Lace up flats and a Troubadour dress.

Cute new spot called Vintage opened up! Super family friendly for those of you in the Charleston area.

IMG_1206

Fall accessories – Preston & Olivia hat and Givenchy bag.

IMG_1034

A solid 60 minute kid activity right here – lay out a huge tarp and some paint.

IMG_1097

And their CUTEST new friends from Hazel Village. I’m afraid I might spend all of my money there buying up every animal and outfit. Do you SEE how they sew the names in the little hearts? So adorable.

IMG_1121

Some pretty things… grey sweater, white leather street shoes, and petal necklace.

IMG_1296

Morning light in my kitchen. Pendant lights available here.

IMG_0888

J.Crew pleated midi skirt and it’s on serious sale! And my Lovisa pumps in grey!

Pretty Charleston…

So this photo is back from February when I went on a buying appointment at Loeffler Randall with Hampden Clothing. This fringe bag is amazing and is now available! Also, similar rain booties (for about $50)!

IMG_0899

And my favorite sweater cape blanket cardigan (seriously it’s like all these things wrapped into one) along with my new scarf!
