Happy Monday! We had a nice weekend over here. Friday the kids and I spent the morning at the beach with friends, and then I headed to Summerville for my friend Gray’s surprise birthday party. We all rode around on bikes hopping around to different restaurants/bars! Such a fun time. If anyone’s wondering, yes Gray was completely surprised. Here’s me, Gray, Anna, and Jackie.

Some of us stayed at the Linwood Inn – a cute bed and breakfast in Summerville, SC.

I’ve been using this Colleen Rothschild face oil for about 2 months and FREAKING LOVE it. Seriously.

More summer days. A blow up pool is really just as much fun as a big one. For kids anyway.

Another day, another meal at Leon’s.

More pool days. This recap could get monotonous, huh.

I’ve been loving La Mer Collection wrap watches for a few years so I’m pumped about my new white one for summer. Paired here with my Margaret Elizabeth bangle, these gladiator sandals, and the Josie shorts by my friend Lauren Lail.

Confession, this next photo wasn’t taken recently but it could’ve been :) I mean, I still wear everything I have on here all the time. All about a little white vest in the summer!

The kids’ favorite toy right now is this mini instax camera that immediately pops out little printed pictures. So yeah, obviously they’re obsessed with it. Truthfully I am, too :)

Love this floral CCH Collection blouse with my high rise denim shorts.

We went to the First Flush Festival at the Charleston Tea Plantation last weekend, such a fun time! Sheryl Crow played, truth be told she was a bit of a let down. But I discovered a new band, Stoplight Observations, that was freaking awesome. Everyone was talking about them. Here I am with my friends Jackie and Gray.

Stopped in to see my friends at Mac N Murphy last week before a lunch with friends at XBB. The cutest card selection, don’t you think?

Many stripes in Lilly’s bathroom. This shower curtain (under $20) and this rug (love this rug, too).

From top going clockwise: Jack Rogers sandals, Loeffler Randall slides (on sale), Loeffler Randal metallic sandals (on sale!), and the stripe sandals are old but just last night I found a pretty similar pair that’s almost 50% off on sale for $65! I personally love the white version and am feeling tempted.

That’s all for now :)

You Guys. Get ready for your mind to explode because I’m about to show y’all the coolest new toy. I’ve been playing around with my new HP Sprout PC. It features a dual screen (one HD touchscreen and a dynamic interactive touch mat), an HP illuminator to project and capture hi-res 3D images, and a built in web cam for live chats. It’s sort of the new, all purpose creativity station for designing, collaborating, and doing.

LLL_sprout-7

So one of my favorite features of HP’s new Sprout is the overhead camera. With it you can transform any object into a 3D image. You just lay your object on the interactive touch mat and tap the camera icon on the HD touchscreen. In this example I’m taking a picture of a plate setting.

LLL_sprout-15

LLL_sprout-14

From there you can manipulate it on the interactive mat to resize, move around, edit… I scanned in another image of my mostly empty pie pan. I mean, I could have just placed it on the table setting in the first scan, but where’s the fun in that? HA! I’m addicted.

So let’s focus a little more on the interactive touch pad down there, because that’s where so much happens. I uploaded one of my iPhone pictures of water to use as background for a text graphic. You wouldn’t know from the pictures here but to get images from the touch screen down to the touch pad you can just flick them down there with a simple little motion. Kinda like magic.

Then you can move, resize and edit. One of my most favorite features of the Sprout is the ability to write with your finger (or you can use the stylus).

In honor of skin cancer awareness month, I want to share a brand that has been one of my favorite sources for my kids’ rashguards the past couple of years. Have y’all discovered Cabana Life? All of their suits, coverups, and rashguards feature 50+UPF protected fabrication.

Sun safety is super important to me. I’m a sunscreen freak (this sunscreen recommended by my dermatologist is my most favorite), and I try to sit in shade whenever possible. Obviously Lilly and Fletcher aren’t going to just sit under an umbrella, so protective swimwear and sunscreen are my best defense.

And the designs are cute!

Life has been good lately over in our corner of the world. The weather is superb and we’ve been outside a ton and in our pool most every day.

Getting a lot of use out of my favorite scallop bikini :) If you want more coverage on the bottom I have these scallop hipsters and LOVE them. And the one piece version a lot, as well.

My friend Rebecca Atwood came to town last week to shoot some scenes in our home for her upcoming book about mixing patterns at home. SO excited about this book – a lot of amazing women friends’ homes are in there, too! Blue stripe towel found here, similar pink towel here, and ladder here.

Spring is the time to eat outside as much as possible here in Charleston. This is from a girl night at XBB.

Last Friday Lilly graduated from pre-school. It was pretty much the sweetest and I was definitely a little emotional.

classic dress for kids

This cute dress she’s wearing is a gift from Savannah Children. I haven’t dressed Lilly in many traditional dresses but this one felt quite special and is a great keepsake for us. Of course she loves it :)

Lots of porch swinging. Because again, the weather. Fletcher’s striped linen shirt is under $10 here.

Good vibes only over here. Signage from Sharptooth Studio, shelf ledges found here, very similar chair here. And I get a lot of questions about our little sofa there – I found a great look for less right here!

Always manage to find something pretty to take a picture of here in Charleston. How about this dramatic door? It’s not what I usually gravitate to, but I like it nonetheless.

Had a fun coffee meeting with Garden & Gun Magazine yesterday. I’m heading on a summer road trip to St. Louis for them next month! Really excited to go explore, and I’m bringing my friend Gray!

And let’s end on a fun dress find!

streetstyle shirtdress

I’ve had this linen shirtdress for about a month and have probably worn it 4 times already. It comes in a light chambray version, too. I paired it with my blue satchel, gold strap sandals, and a tassel belt. Some people are all about that bass, I’m all about that tassel belt.

Neighborhood strolls with the kids is one of my favorite things to do :) The weather is perfect right now here in Charleston so we’ve been trying to enjoy it before the humidity takes over the city.

LLL_streetstyle_oldnavy_oldvillage-7

Lilly is wearing her new favorite Old Navy dress. It’s the prettiest shade of blue and has pockets for collecting things. So easy for her to throw on and go.

Right now is Old Navy’s biggest summer sale – you can take up to 50% off! So many cute things over there. Love Lilly’s dress in the pink version, too.

Oh heeeey! I’ve come up with round two of some of my favorite swimsuits for the guys! I think a more fitted and shorter inseam is key. Plain or printed. All of these options are great!

men swim trunks

So many fun options. I really like Nordstrom’s The Rail section. It brings together their more modern styles for men into one section that’s really easy to shop. While many of these prints/colors (ahem the gingham) are definitely classics, they are still fresh with their new cuts! I especially love those solid tab closure swim shorts up on the top row.
