Happy April Fool’s Day! I had high hopes of having something great and hilarious for you, but alas… But how about a mash up of things that I’m liking today instead? Okay good, because that’s what I’ve put together.

Freaking out over my stripe skirt that I plan to wear every which way this summer. It’s currently 30% off! Oh and those lovely metallic loafers are 33% off right now too :)

Little scallop clutch – check (and 20% off). New but old looking cut off shorts that actually fit well – check (and 30% off). Stripe sandals from last year that I still love – check (similar pair).

Really enjoyed reading this guide for quick and easy flower arrangements!

Oh, just about 200 eggs that I hid for Lilly’s class party. NBD. But really, it was a lot of fun. Off topic, my white scalloped lace top is now available in black, too.

Our powder room sink situation. Always makes me happy.

Thinking it would make me even happier if I had this adorable monogrammed soaps and towel set. What a great gift idea for mother’s day coming up!

Layer layer layer, look I got the turquoise ones :)

Love this red door situation.

Seeing Charleston’s Mirth Studio’s collection of wooden tiles on OKL makes my heart feel happy. There are so many amazing patterns!

This coral guaze shirt has been worn 3 times in 7 days. I know. I need to just get it in more colors.

With Easter just a couple of weeks away I’m starting to think about Easter basket ideas. We have a lot of family flying in to visit us that whole week, so I’m especially looking forward to it this year. Normally we head up to them. Such a treat to get to stay put and still see some of my family.

Along with the significance of Easter, the holiday also brings to mind color and warm weather. So I used that as a guide for some Easter basket ideas.

Easter Basket Ideas

This collection of sleeping bags is pretty much the cutest, don’t you think? You can personalize them, too! The swan is my favorite. And I don’t know one kid that doesn’t love a tent, my kids love ours! We also have two of those riders. They zip around our house on the daily, it’s hilarious and fun. Great for riding around on a patio as well. Lilly got one of those Jelly Cat bunnies in her stocking at Christmas, and despite having a gazillion stuffed animals and dolls, the bunny has moved into her favorites rotation and she takes it all over the house. They’re that good and come in different animal options and colors. I had a singing machine when I was little and I can say with 100% certainty that it was my favorite possession. I just love that pink rattan chair, and isn’t that little stripe throw cute, too? Love the idea of using a storage basket that you can actually use later as the Easter basket.

Also included up there are some fun Easter party ideas like the egg hunt kit, the bunny cups, and the Easter themed cookie cutters!

Not shown, but another favorite Easter basket idea is books. My kids recommend Once Upon The AlphabetThe Day The Crayons Quit, How To, and this collection of personalized books where your an make the story about your child!

Lilly fell in love with this flowery chambray jacket as soon as she saw it. It’s super soft and just a little bit puffy, making it super cool in her book.

She’s such a goof. Any other mothers out there also have chapstick/lipgloss obsessed kids?

These flowery chambray slingbacks are adorable too, yes?

This little white dress just might be Lil’s Easter dress this year, I love it that much. Something about a white dress, and this one is just about perfect and is only $19.

If you’re looking for more cute dresses, check out this plaid sundress and this flutter sleeve dress. Both would be so adorable with these crocheted espadrilles.

I’ve been dreaming about our recent Harbour Island vacation a lot lately and realized that I haven’t shared a recap of the trip. So here goes… There are a LOT of photos, but there are so many cute things to share. I’m actually showing restraint, believe it or not.

Once again we stayed at The Dunmore because it’s Heaven. I really can’t recommend it enough. It’s cozy with only 14 cottages and a handful of residences, but beautifully designed. Everyone there is so welcoming, too.

Much of our time was spent laying under the umbrella reading.

The sand is PINK! Harbour Island is famous for it.

The island’s shopping scene is really great, too. My favorites include Miss Mae’s, Shine, Blue Rooster, and India Hicks’ Sugar Mill. There are also a lot of roadside basket and jewelry stands.

I already have the large straw pom pom tote or I would have snagged that smaller fringe and pom pom tote.

This is our little cottage.

The Dunmore has a great pool area that we would hit up late afternoon for more reading, some laps, and backgammon.

Again, my lemlem coverup.

The island is adorable with cute beach cottage scenes sprinkled all over.

I finally got to wear my new white eyelet Shoshanna beach dress while I was there, too. Definitely one of my favorite things that I brought on the trip! I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it.

I just saw that the Land of Nod is having a bedding sale, and I thought it might be fun to take a look back at our Real Families collaboration with LON and Lilly’s cover girl days :)

On Lilly’s bed we have the dancer duvetpolka dot sheets, and aqua rouched quilt and shams. To see our full Land of Nod makeover feature including Lilly’s room and our playroom click here.

Happy LON bedding shopping! Spring is a fun time to switch things up, even if it’s just fresh sheets, some fun pillows, or a throw.

On our way home from school yesterday I waved and smiled at someone we passed. Lilly asked me why I always smile and say hi to everyone, even strangers. I told her that smiles can brighten the day, and because selfishly, it feels good to smile.
