Have y’all heard about Plated? The new dinner network that lets you order boxed dinner ingredients from a menu designed by chefs. Does that make sense? So you look over the weekly menu and order “plates” that sound up your alley. What gets delivered to you (on a day you specify) is a box of all the ingredients needed and instructions of how to prepare it. Kinda fun, right?

Plated provided me with some free plates to try out so I just placed my order. It’s not really something that i envision myself doing every week since I have 2 picky eating children, but it could definitely be fun to change things up sometimes for Josh and me. Sorta forces you to try cooking something new in the easiest way possible. Check out Plated to see the menu in your area. Note, it shows you a week’s worth of meals (7 total). If you change the delivery date you can see upcoming weekly menus and plan ahead, too! That’s what I did.

Good Monday morning! I got back to town last night from a 3 night trip to MN for my friend Jeanette’s wedding. It was a fun time and great to have a girl weekend with friends that I grew up with, Hannah and Kara. It was crazy cold (like high of 50) and on a beautiful lake at Lutsen Resort. I had never been to MN before.

Travel outfit shot. Wearing this stripe top, these jeans, these sneakers, and this bag. I promised on instagram to find a look a like for less and I love this one, almost identical!

We had dinner one night at The Angry Trout and the food was so freaking good and all the plates had this pretty presentation.

In other life news, my granny and papa came for visit so we ate well for a few days :)

Pretty Smitten sent over some back to school supplies for Lilly and Fletch. That cute Elizabeth has the cutest stuff in her shop.

Lilly and Fletch felt fancy running downtown errands with me. Here they are at The George Gallery.

My friends at Neve & Hawk sent over a fun little tee project for Fletcher. It’s their new Creatures & Features tee collection where you can design your own shirt. Seriously the cutest thing ever and Fletchy loved it! Really easy on my end, too (y’all know I’m not real crafty).

So you get a tee and 2 sheets full of feature options. You’ll also need scissors and an iron. (hey look my iron matches my rug!)

Fletchy loved choosing his favorite features.

Cut out your selections and lay them transfer side down where you want them on your shirt.

Cover with parchment paper and continuously run the iron over them for about 2 minutes. I think 2 minutes, anyway. I don’t have the instructions anymore but don’t worry they send the instruction sheet with every order.

Slowly peel off the paper.

Favorite tee ever!

Isn’t this the best idea? What a great gift idea, too! Lilly can’t wait to do her own Creatures & Features tee next.

We are anxiously awaiting the start of school over here – not til after Labor Day for my little pre-schoolers. Lil and Fletch are so excited to meet their teachers and see which friends are in their classes. We’ve been looking at lunch boxes, searching high and low for the exact right glue sticks, and all that groovy stuff. I haven’t fully started back to school shopping b/c their summer clothes will do for awhile since it’s so hot here in Charleston, but I couldn’t resist these floral skinnies and fall colors at Old Navy!

Note, during this shoot Lilly kinda sorta scratched her ankle on a toy and wasn’t sure how she felt about it… hence the moody, editorial like supermodel face. Don’t worry, no force was made to take the pictures. She enjoys being behind Gray’s camera.

She obviously borrowed my sunglasses, too. Good stuff. And how cute is this pink plaid peplum blouse? I wonder if I’d fit into the xxl… Check out Old Navy’s new school arrivals right here.

Neve & Hawk… such a cute kids line made by Kris & Bob Galmarini. They started their line here in Charleston, maybe some of you remember talking about them during Charleston fashion week. They’re now in California and are doing, well, awesome. How cute is this little bustle dress they sent over for Lilly?

Anyone catch Lilly’s feet up there? Whoa.

Neve & Hawk is simple and comfortable. This convertible bustle dress can also be worn as a skirt and adjusts for sizing in the back. Super cool. We are big fans here. Expect to see more ahead.

I feel all sparkly inside to finally get to share this fun makeover project that I helped design earlier this summer. You know how much I love The Land of Nod. And you know how much I love Jane Pope. Put them together and my heart has the warm and fuzzies. Here’s Jane’s beautiful family.

Cooper_Portrait_0005

So here’s what happened. The Land of Nod heard that Jane Pope Cooper’s family needed a playroom revamp. So my friends at LON called me and asked if I could help them help Jane design the perfect space for her kiddos. Of course I said yes! Let’s show the before pictures…

And so a liiiiittle magic happened… Now the after!

Some of you might remember from my family’s makeover project with Land of Nod that we used these leaning bookcases, too. Love them so much!

We have the cork rails and paper holders in our playroom too – perfect for hanging art work and pictures.

The book nook. My favorite space in the Cooper’s whole room. Side note, I have a Joya rocker that we used in Fletcher’s nursery and can speak for it’s legit-ness. I love it.

Pretty great, isn’t it?! I’m so happy for Jane’s family – her kiddos are in love with their new space. You can find this feature in the new August Land of Nod Catalog! Big, BIG thanks to The Land of Nod for making yet another dream come true. They really are the best kind of people over there.
