I have a lot to be thankful for this year – my family, friends, our health, you all… this list goes on and on. But really, thanks for coming to my little space – it means the world to me.
I hope you all enjoy a splendid Thanksgiving today. We’re having some family over at our house and have waaaay more food than we need. We’ll be eating leftovers for awhile. Later this afternoon I’m taking Lilly to the movies. We can’t wait!

We had so much fun at the Look Linger Love + Land of Nod party last week! I wish I could have had you all over because it was such a fun and magical night. We gave away every last toy under the tree, around 30 or so of LON’s favorites from their collection – a tent, sleeping bags, a doll house, a rocker, dolls… Such amazing toys. Lauren from LON flew down to help me with the party and we had a blast putting it all together.
We set up a little craft area using LON’s paper flower kits.
We sipped champagne and had Callie’s Biscuits and pimento cheese along with Grey Ghost Bakery’s cookies! Both local favorites of mine.
And of course placed lots of holiday orders…
And don’t you know that Lilly couldn’t resist joining us for a few minutes to demonstrate her most favorite thing.

While catching up with friends over lunch earlier this week, my girlfriend brought up the subject of age and aging. And we all agreed that you are as young as you feel. But it was the way that she described her mother’s experience with aging that struck me. How she’ll look in the mirror and be shocked. Who is this person? Not the young women that she felt she still was.
So a couple of days later when I stumbled upon Tom Hussey’s Reflections photographs showing former selves of elderly people I just felt it was serendipitous and that I should share it with you.
