Good morning from the Dunlin. Lil and I are here for a little staycation, hanging out at the pool and just taking it easy. We might do a little shopping today too, perhaps. About to head off to breakfast now :) I love a resort breakfast, it’s always one of my favorite parts of any trip. And this hotel has a fabulous large screen porch overlooking the marsh, which is just the loveliest AM setting!

If this brand isn’t on your radar yet then it should be. It’s so freaking cute! This dress just showed up today and I’ve clicked over to it like 3 times, the print is so freaking gorgoeus. And I love the easy shape. If you’ve loved the scarf style top trend but feel a little intimidated then this top is a great option with the straps! I love it! Tnuck dropped this red gingham halter top dress and i love the simple lines, it’s literally the perfect picnic dress. And this print by Hill House might be my new fave!
Happy Saturday! I went to a birthday party at a friend’s house last night, and I was home before 9 and joined Lilly in the family room to watch Lost. She just started it, I think we watched episode 6 and some of 7 of the first season.
Josh and I watched Lost 15 years ago, I know this because I remember Lilly sleeping in her bassinet next to us while we binged it. Funny how things come around. She has no idea the wild ride that she’s embarked on with this show! (I just deleted my LOL at the end of that sentence. I recently saw a meme making fun of millennials and their absolute need to add lol to the end of all sentences. I felt so seen. I’m not giving it up entirely but will try to be more conscious.) I also just had to look up how to spell millennials because my first stab at it was milleneals which I knew right away was very wrong, lol. :)
I have a clear Saturday which is basically my favorite thing. Lilly and I are going to The Dunlin tomorrow for a 2 night staycation! I’m so excited. We plan to hang by the pool, shop at Freshfields, and just all around enjoy resort life. Their spa is always amazing, but I don’t have anything scheduled right now b/c the available times weren’t great for me. I also plan to get some good reading done (I’m going to start this book there at the pool, and Lilly is reading this book).
Okay let’s discuss a few faves I may not have told you about yet, or that you may have missed:
I just bought this Victoria Beckham Bitten Lip Tint and after trying it for like 24 hours immediately ordered two more colors. VB ‘s makeup is elite. I don’t know if you’ve tried it yet but gosh I love everything I buy and end up reordering or ordering more shades. For the lip tint I started with “Poupette” (literally the perfect nude stain shade, I put it on in the morning it just makes me feel more alive) and now have both Amour and Je T’aime on their way to me. I also swear by her concealer pen. Trust. I could go on about other products of hers but I don’t want to overwhelm you. Oh fine, I’ve reordered her Posh Lipstick multiple times, too. The shade “Pout” it not to be missed. It’s her fave as well, fyi.
I have some updated casual summer basics that I want to put on your radar. I got a few of these JCrew tees, they’re such a good price and do the trick. These shorts – I wear them so much, they’re so cute and comfortable. The jelly flats are new and such a cute, elevated thong sandal. They have a leather footbed so they feel dressier. And my netted bag feels like the most fun summer accessory!!
And I moved my charms around on my charm necklace last night. It’s funny how doing that can make a difference, I got a few comments on how cute it is last night. And Adina’s charms are so easy to clip and move around to other necklaces, too!
*** While we are talking about favorite basics, if there’s just one basic every day fave you need to check then let it be this support bralette. I’m telling you it’s the most supportive wire free bralette, and it has thin adjustable straps (good for summer clothes). It’s a goat of every day bras.
Alright I must have really wanted to talk about basics today b/c I feel the need to add this reminder about the Amazon paracord sandals. I bought them in the red – they’re so legit!! This is notable bc as we know not everything on Amazon is legit.
Now, on the other side of basic let’s move on to two Me & Em new arrivals that are sitting in my shopping cart. This printed cotton dress, holy moly cute. And one of my favorite dresses that I own from them just dropped in this fabulous stripe edition.
Last but not least, I bought this beaded dress from Zara b/c the price was so good for it looking like a designer piece. I don’t know when I’ll wear it yet but I’m thinking a girly dinner would be so fun!!

Okay let’s chat trends that are worth wearing this summer. A few obvious ones – matching sets like this daytime pink sweats set all the way to this dressier stripe skirt set – so fun for a party or dinner out!
Drop waist is big right now and I’ve been collecting a few. I love this new arrival I just found – light blue drop waist dress.
Cut Outs – Another warm weather fave, I adore this striped cut out dress. She is sleek and gorgeous.
I’m loving all the bubble skirts right now and this white skirt is a perfect entry point. Bonus points with the matching tank.
Last but not least and an evergreen always trending fave, florals. This blue floral dress sold out quick on Hill House’s website but just arrived on Shopbop this morning!
I hope you all had a nice weekend. I was super productive and FINISHED writing my book. Or I should say I finished the second draft. I’m re-reading it this week to look for any major snafus and then handing it to my editor for developmental feedback this weekend. CRAZY!! I’m so excited, and feel so proud of myself to be honest. I started this book in January and it’s been an addictive addition to my life. I know there will be lotsssss more editing and writing in my future.
I’m about to pop out for Fletcher’s end of year awards ceremony but first wanted to get up this new summer favorites list! I wore this new green bubble top last Friday to lunch and gosh I adore it. Comes in white, too, which is so gorg. I kinda want it toooo.
This rainbow dress, SO fun, but selling quickly. This gingham shorts set – adore. Crushing on this new Gucci bag from their summer collection (their summer collections are always my fave). These charm necklaces are a great price and were really popular when I shared them on insta stories a few days ago. And my eyes just keep pulling over to this green printed mini – it’s so pretty!
