Back to School looks a lot different this year. With so many questions up in the air all that we can do is be flexible and as prepared as we can possibly be. With all of this in mind, I’m really excited to partner with eBay to highlight their refurbished laptop selection! As learning environments change, so do our supply needs. Binders are out and laptops are in. And there is no need to buy brand new – eBay’s huge selection of refurbished laptops are guaranteed good-as-new and a much better value!

We chose a refurbished HP Chromebook because it’s what the kids are familiar with at school and is very reasonably priced. This laptop has all the bells and whistles they need, but isn’t distracting like their iPads they already have here at the house.

One bonus of at-home learning is the ability to switch up your “classroom” throughout the day, every day. My kids like to switch up their atmosphere and keep things feeling new, and a laptop makes this easy. Like taking the zoom meeting on the front porch swing bed!

Or studying with your friends (virtually) on the green sofa in the family room.

And taking a yoga break in the sunroom.

Or taking gym class on the spin bike! They can follow their friends and take live classes together.

And music class practicing their piano skills on the keyboard with a lesson app on your laptop!

Don’t worry, Lilly has an actual desk, too! This is where she chooses to do most of her school work. By the way, how fun is that jellyfish lamp? Lil and Fletch both have them and they use them every single day. It’s like a pet, but no hassle – my favorite kind.

The discounted price of eBay’s certified refurbished laptops (up to 50%) paired with the peace of mind that they have been tested, verified, and come direct from Manufacturers make eBay the place to go. They offer a 90 day warranty and a hassle-free money back guarantee. Check out their selection right here!

New to me brand spotlight today! I discovered Stoney Clover Lane when they emailed me about ordering Sohp Shop for their stores in NYC, The Hamptons, and Palm Beach. I’m now obsessed. And if I’m obsessed then you could say that Lilly is majorly obsessed. Take a look at how cute.

Stoney Clover Lane is a brand of bags and organizing accessories that you can totally customize. They have a ton of different style, colors, shapes, sizes, fabrics, patterns. But the really fun part is the patches you can choose to customize your piece. They have SO many and they’re all SO fun. The patches come in varieties of themes like candy colored letters, back to school, travel, sports and hobbies, food and drink, girl power, nature, animals… and it goes on and on! This is the bag Lilly designed as her dream back to school backpack. She wants a notebook too with themed patches. And a duffle with her name. And a smaller bag with her initials. It’s gotten out of control. I wouldn’t say this is budget babe find either, sorry guys. You’ve been warned.

But I mean, just look how cute. Even I want to make a back to school bag. And they have masks!! I have a feeling we’ll be shopping here for birthdays and Christmas.

Check out Stoney Clover Lane’s whole site right here. Again, you’ve been warned… :)

I don’t know how it’s looking where you all are but here in Charleston our kids won’t be back in school (and probably virtually, at least to start) until September! My kids are not all bummed out, summer break is pretty great even in these Covid times, but having some fun activities and things to do make it a whole lot easier on me. This whole post is inspired by the most amazing kit that we found for Lilly that is literally alllll she wants to do or talk about right now. I even have to admit it’s pretty cool and I’d be obsessed if I were a kid, too!

This Puffy Charms DIY Kit is basically the coolest kit we’ve gotten yet. I swear this isn’t sponsored, ha! We just love it so much that I feel it’s my duty to spread the word. There are 250 different charms to make, and to make them you just stick together the puffy stickers and add the little loop. So it’s easy to do and there are so many possibilities. You can make bracelets, necklaces, anklets, key charms, bag charms, pencils, shoe lace charms…

So adorable. And because more is always more around here, here are some more great ideas to keep your kids entertained in the many weeks ahead! I love them all!

That Zip Line is currently 30% off on Amazon! And you guys have to click over and see those Neighborly Notes, seriously SO cute!!! Lil and Fletcher would love these, especially right now. If your kids haven’t read the Wayside Stories books then let this be your nostalgic reminder. They’re so funny, and easily one of Fletcher’s favorite set of books he has read! The reusable Waterballs are like water balloons but softer, way easier and way better for the planet. Lastly, right now Lilly is really into making smoothie popsicles! They’re the perfect healthy summer treat! Happy weekend, Everyone!

If you’re anything like me you’ve always been a little interested in the behind the scenes of a product shoot. So today I wanted to share my experience with our first Sohp Shop photoshoot! We shot with Charleston photographer Leigh Weber, one of my most favorite photographers ever. She’s the talent behind the underwater photos you see all over the internet. I wanted the first shoot to be fairly laid back and flexible, so we did it at our house over the course of two days. We needed studio photography for our website, simple product shots with a white background along with a good mix of styled product shots as well as some photos with kids. We set up a little studio in both our family room and our sunroom, and it was truly the most fun and stress free experience.

So I’m just going to share some behind the scenes iPhone snaps along with a few of the shots that Leigh captured. As you can see in the photo below, I had to be kinda quick because Lilly didn’t like me double-shooting. When she caught me I think she actually said, “Mooom Leigh’s taking the photos”.

We asked two of our friends, Georgia and Grace, to come help out and be in some photos. We were supposed to have one more model too but she wasn’t feeling well the day of so we will hopefully get to include her next time.

These girls were fantastic. Lilly had the idea to throw confetti and they turned out to be some of my most favorite shots from the shoot! We really just played around a lot and tried anything.

Leigh managed to get Fletch to take a few photos, too!

Lilly styling…

Grace showed up with the cutest sparkly manicure. She probably went to The Water Room. Adorable.

There are a lot more photos on our site – check ’em out! I wanted lots of photos in our product listings, I think that’s the blogger in me. I’m already excited to do another shoot with Leigh. She’s just so talented and the most calming, kind person to have by your side. Which is exactly what you want in a potentially high anxiety situation. I can’t thank you enough, Leigh!

And shameless plug – your kids want Sohp Shop! Your neighbor’s kids want Sohp Shop. Your friends and co-worker’s kids want Sohp Shop. We are a clean soap for kids that is not only non-toxic, but is also super FUN. Every ball of soap has a surprise toy hidden inside, making hand washing a whole lot more fun! Dreamed up by a kid, for kids. Check out our Sohp Shop website here!

Well it’s Spring Break week here, and you’re looking at it. Just a few months ago the kids were begging to go to Florida. Now they’d be happy to go to TCBY down the street. But we’re making the best of it and are FINE. We are fine. And that’s what matters. I have a feeling we are looking at a couple-many-few weeks ahead of quarantine. So while this round up may look like it’s for the kids today, it’s really for all of us ;)

The Swurfer Swing might just be my kids favorite thing we own. Tip, hang it in your front yard where your kids can be seen and – boom, they want to go outside! Now I know that waterslide bounce house looks crazy and it might be over the top, but imagine the fun. A giant connect four game? Yes, please. Fletch has those shorts and they pretty awesome really – water resistant too! And Lilly has these pajamas and they’re just the cutest!

A lot of these items would make good Easter gifts too – like that cute Unicorn and scrabble junior. And how cool are those customizable stuffed chairs?? There are so many cool fabrics.
