Do you realize that we are just 6 short days away from Easter? It’s crunch time to order Easter basket supplies (myself included)! I asked 11 of my mom friends to share their top 3 items that they are putting in their kids’ baskets this year! Here’s all the inspo we all need :)

ELLE STRAUSS, New Jersey:

“We English don’t usually do Easter baskets, but this year feels different. Cadbury’s chocolate eggs are always a given.”

Unicorn Surprise Soap | Croquet Set | Cadbury Chocolate Eggs

ALLIE MOOD, South Carolina:

Allie has one of the most inspiring family feeds on instagram. Her daughter Poppy is a sweet friend to Lilly, too!

The Good Egg Book | Fortune Surprise Soap | Jellycat Stuffed Watermelon

LULIE WALLACE, Georgia:

“I’m ordering a lot from local stores in my town who are delivering! I’m also ordering A Raven’s Nest by Raven Roxanne and the brand new book Ordinary Love by Teil Duncan.”

JEN ROGERS, Texas:

“This photo is from Mother’s Day. Remember when we could go outside?!” (fondly) Jen has the cutest kids shop and I’ve loved following her family on Instagram!

Rubix Cube | Land of Dough | Unicorn Surprise Soap

GRAY BENKO, South Carolina:

Gray is no newbie around here. She and her fam are very near & dear to us. I bet my kids spent more time on FaceTime talking to her kids this past weekend than they talked to me.

EDEN PASSANTE, Tennessee:

“I always add some sort of art supply to their baskets, either giant chalk or paint! And these handmade dolls provide 10 meals per doll!”

Eco-Finger Paint | Cuddle + Kind Dolls | Ninja Surprise Soap

Jackie is the creative force behind Sohp Shop’s branding and packaging! She nailed it and we couldn’t be happier!

Easter Mad Libs | Sloomoo Slimes | Unicorn & Ninja Soap

CLAIRE O’BRYAN, South Carolina:

“The kids will be so jazzed about their new surprise soap! My husband is in charge of the COVID response for our state of South Carolina so I bought these as soon as they came out, knowing we would use them religious!”

I’m so grateful for each and every one of these amazing and talented ladies who took the time to share their Easter Basket picks. (I didn’t include the girls who didn’t mention Sohp Shop.) So I have some really big news, you guys… We launched Sohp Shop!!

So yesterday was kind of a big (and busy) day over here! I hope you don’t hold it against me that I didn’t get this post up earlier. I’m SO happy to tell you all about it now. We’ve been working on bringing Sohp Shop to life for over a year! Who’s “we”? Lilly, Fletcher, and me. Oh and Josh, too (sorry Josh). What makes this so special to me is that Sohp Shop was Lilly’s idea! She came up with the idea of hiding small toys in soap “to encourage kids to wash their hands” while making Christmas gifts back in 2018. She and Fletcher sold them at a lemonade stand in our front yard, and they were such a big hit that we got the idea to make them in a larger scale.

I won’t bore you with all it took to get the product here today (but I do want to share a lot more about our process of starting a new business from scratch in the days/weeks to come – I feel like there could be a lot to unpack and talk about here), but we are very proud of the time and effort we gave to make Sohp Shop the best that we could make it be.

We launched with three themes: Unicorn, Ninja, and Fortune. Inside each ball of soap is a surprise toy! The idea is to make hand washing feel less like a chore and a lot more fun. The more you wash, the closer you get to the surprise! We hope to expand our themes in the year ahead and offer more fun ways for kids to wash their hands and create healthy habits. And rest assured that we took care when choosing our ingredients.

NO PARABENS. NO PHTHALATES. NO SLS/SLES. NO SULFATES.

There has never been a more important time to make hand washing a fun and consistent habit for kids! Come check out our new fancy schmancy Sohp Shop website! You can see more of our story on our About Us page here and check out all of our products and collections on our Shop page here!

Yesterday I had lunch at the new 167 Raw location on King St (which is amazing, by the way) and Julia and I wore our new GMG dresses that just launched yesterday. I think this is one of my favorite collections of her’s yet! The dresses are light and airy and have me so ready for Spring!

I’m wearing the new Giselle dress in pink, and it comes in a pretty blue as well. It has a smocked waistline and a really lovely, light floral print. It’s so comfortable! I paired it with these raffia heels and this structural jute handbag. Julia is wearing the Torey dress in the prettiest shade of green. How cute are the ruffled short sleeves?

Isn’t the whole new February collection gorgeous? That white dress is one of the best little white dresses I’ve seen. And this blue floral dress with the tiered silhouette is exactly what I want to wear everyday.

December is easily my favorite (and busiest) month of the year. I just love everything about the holidays, especially all of our family traditions. Each year we get a new set of family pajamas, and this year I ordered these grey plaid flannel pajamas.

I love a good holiday party or dinner out as much as the next person, but staying home in my cozy pajamas watching holiday movies and eating popcorn is all that I truly want to do. Our favorite family holiday movies include the new Grinch, Elf, Home Alone, and The Polar Express. And it just isn’t Christmas if I don’t watch Love Actually and Christmas Vacation (after the kids are in bed, of course).

I found these flannel pajamas in the Nordstrom Made section on their site. This is where you can find all the brands created by Nordstrom for you specifically, with fashion and value in mind! You probably know of a lot of the brands already, like Halogen, Chelsea28, and BP. The Nordstrom Made section is also where you will find all of Nordstrom’s amazing collaborations with inspiring bloggers like Atlantic Pacific, Something Navy, and Rachel Parcell.

I included these butter crew socks I’m wearing in one of my gift guides, and let me tell you they really are the softest socks of all time. They come in a lot of colors, too. Lilly’s wearing these cozy printed socks, and Fletcher is wearing these red plaid socks.

Another favorite family tradition that might be the most fun is our Elf on the Shelf, Buddy, that visits us each year. Every morning Lilly and Fletcher run downstairs to find him. It’s seriously the most joyful and amazing memory maker. The kids love leaving notes for him.

And what would December be without holiday baking?! Decorating sugar cookies is so much fun and the best family night in activity and the kids love it!

Shop Nordstrom’s Holiday Gift Guide and enjoy all of Nordstrom’s services (free shipping and returns, BOPUS, curbside pick up). And it’s a great time to join The Nordy Club and earn points on your purchases! It’s free to join, and you’ll gain exclusive access to Beauty & Style workshops, first to shop select brands, and more! Here are more of my favorite Nordstrom Made pieces! Just click on each item to go to product page.

We just made the CUTEST update in Lilly’s room! I partnered with DucDuc (our favorite furniture line for kids) on a new dresser for Lilly’s clothes that were beginning to bust out of her teeny closet. Putting away her clean clothes is SO much more enjoyable now.

And it doesn’t hurt that this Austin 6 Drawer Credenza is absolutely gorgeous! The fun thing about DucDuc is that all of their furniture it customizable! You can pick your colors, your trim finish, your drawer color, hardware… The possibilities are practically endless. We chose a classic look and went with white with natural oak finish.

And we did a fun orange drawer interior for some color and to coordinate with Lilly’s DucDuc Cabana Desk! Photo below is from a couple of years ago, Lilly has grown!

We chose white ring pull hardware to coordinate as well. I love the look!

I love how it turned out, and so does Lilly! I highly recommend checking out DucDuc’s whole collection. They have the perfect mix of fun yet beautiful pieces, and each piece is hand crafted and made to order in Connecticut! Big thanks to DucDuc for this beautiful new piece!

Today’s post feels extra special to me because it’s all about nostalgia. Do you remember the first brand that you collected that you were excited about? Mine was Vera Bradley. My friends and I collected the many different patterns and colors of Vera Bradley duffel bags, totes, and cosmetic bags. When one friend would get the new pattern, we all needed it. And trust me, we knew about all of the new bags because we lived just a couple of hours south of the Vera Bradley headquarters in Indiana. We were in the know. Their soft and feminine designs were fun for everyday use, sleepovers, and road trips. I could cram SO much into my duffel bag. And bonus, mom could just throw the bag in the washing machine when it needed a refresh!

Well, for Lilly’s birthday this year I gave her her very first Vera Bradley piece. It felt really special to tell her how I started collecting my pieces as a young girl. Of course, she loved it. It’s hard not to appreciate Vera Bradley’s whimsical patterns and bright, bold colors. Lilly is now the proud owner of the Lighten Up Journey Backpack in the Indiana Blossoms print (because obviously). And it’s the Dashing Deal of the Day today on Vera Bradley’s site, so you can buy them for $100 each (reg. $175) with the code LIGHTENUPLOVE!

This Lighten Up Journey Backpack has the most storage of any backpack I’ve seen. From a designated spot for special papers to a ventilated pouch to stash shoes and worn clothes, it’s the perfect kid and adult friendly backpack for school, work, or travel. It has a padded laptop compartment, a hard case top pocket for sunglasses, and a trolley sleeve that accommodates luggage handles. It has even more storage tricks you can read about here.

For as roomy and durable as this Lighten Up Journey Backpack is, it’s actually surprisingly light weight! It’s also water-resistant.

Vera Bradley is an awesome source for gifts this holiday season! Here are a few more great gift ideas from their site!

I have a feeling the Hanging Travel Organizer and the Travel Duffel will be next on Lilly’s wish list. Check out the Lighten Up Journey Backpack today while it’s the Dashing Deal of the day and make some progress on your holiday shopping!
