I mentioned on Instagram that I needed another trench coat like I needed a hole in the head, but this new trench from Mille is so cute that I couldn’t help myself! I love all the pleats and ruffle details!
A few more cute trench jackets for spring – this new Sea laser cut trench is getting a lot of love lately, it’s pretty adorable. If I didn’t already have the Mille one I’d be super tempted. And then it’s not included above, but if you’re looking for a classic trench at a good price then be sure to check out this one. It’s so cute and will last you forever!! Have a great weekend, Everyone!
I’ve done it. I’ve found the perfect pair of leggings. These pink Alo leggings are buttery soft. So soft in fact that they’re called a “lounge legging” even though they’re made with a high performance fabric that can handle your sweatiest work out. They’re comfortable and flattering and have a nice high waist. And they’re beautiful.
I’m equally excited about my new Varley funnel neck sweatshirt. I’ve had my eye on this top for a long time and I can officially tell you it’s as perfect as I alway knew it would be. Cozy and polished at the same time thanks to the adjustable drawstring waist.
The cult favorite Bala weighted bangles! They’re designed for running, walking, hiking, yoga… Really any activity to raise your heart rate, burn fat, and built muscle. You can wear them on your ankles or wrists.
I love that v-scoop sports bra! And this short sleeve tee is a great basic for any workout. Don’t forget that Nordstrom offers free shipping and returns, BOPUS, contactless curbside pick up, and safe and easy alterations! And if you join the Nordy Club you’ll gain exclusive perks and access and gain points on all of your orders! You can learn more and sign up for The Nordy Club right here!
This post has a little bit of everything because it’s in partnership with Nordstrom, and they are just THE BEST at carrying a lovely curated variety of products at a range of prices. There’s a lot to unpack here in this blog post, including one of my favorite easy recipes, so let’s just jump in.
Since we are all spending more time in our kitchens it’s nice to have quality products that you trust. I can’t believe I’m admitting this but the skillet I have been using is from when we registered for our wedding, and we’ve been married for 14 years… The non stick coating was coming off, and well that is just so so bad to continue to cook with a pan like that. I’m happy to report that we’re now cooking with our new Food52 12 inch covered nonstick skillet and it’s like a whole new world.
Plus, the skillet is really pretty. I love this light blueish-grey interior color.
Speaking of pretty colors my pink cowl neck tunic top is one of my new favorite shirts to wear. I wear it around the house with sweats or leggings (it has nice longer length) or out with jeans! It’s seriously so soft and is a great price ($39)!! I love all the color options.
Another tool I’m loving right now are my new set of silicone utensils. I put these in a few of my holiday gift guides, and decided I needed a set for myself. These are super durable but still flexible, and they’re really soft and comfortable to hold. They’re dishwasher safe, stand up to high heat, and BPA-free! I have the maple color. Did you notice the two in one spoon? Great for taste testing, which I happen to do a lot of when I’m cooking.
And here’s another look at my pink tunic top and leather flats! Scroll below for more of my favorite Nordstrom finds this week! Don’t forget that Nordstrom always offers free shipping and free returns, as well as a buy online and pick up in store or curbside option! And if you’re a Nordy Club member you’ll earn points and rewards with each purchase! Now is a great time to join for the new year!
Lastly as promised, I wanted to share one of my favorite easy recipes that I make all of the time. I usually make this Cauliflower Rice Buffalo Chicken dish for lunch but it’s also a really great dinner meal, too! Super simple! I use 1 frozen bag of Trader Joes Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry + any kind of chicken I have (rotisserie chicken, leftover chicken nuggets, frozen chicken, really anything chicken you like) + your favorite kind of hot sauce or buffalo sauce (I like Red Clay). Sometimes I heat the chicken separately in our toaster oven air fryer, our oven, or in the skillet with the rice.
Cauliflower Rice Buffalo Chicken
Trader Joes Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry(cooked in butter or a good EVOO)
Chicken Strips (grilled or fried per your preference)
Hot Sauce or Buffalo Sauce(to taste, I like a lot)
New Year’s Resolution, wear more clothes that I enjoy wearing because they look good AND feel good. Like this super soft gingham midi dress that I wore last week. I actually have this dress in another lilic color that I wear all the time, too. It’s just so comfortable and can be dressed up or down. It comes with a really cute matching belt.
I hope your week (and year) is off to a great start. We got home from Harbour Island yesterday so today is packed with laundry, cleaning, de-Christmasing, and all that stuff. Maybe a work out and a piano lesson if I can squeeze them in but I’ll be lucky if I make those happen. Happy Monday!
Today is a great day because I get to partner with one of the coolest sites on the internet, and I mean that wholeheartedly. Backcountry is not just a pretty site to shop, it’s a group of really cool people working together and doing really cool things (more about that later in this post).
But back to the site, Backcountry is geared toward connecting with nature! They have everything from every day items for a walk in your neighborhood, to a hike on a new trail, to camping, to snow skiing, to surfing, to rock climbing, to fishing, to basically any activity you can do outside. Simply browsing their site motivates me. And their clothing is fashionable yet casual and functional. Like this pretty blue trench rain jacket! I love the belt tie to give a more defined waist. It’s currently on sale!
I’m also wearing their on the go ankle pants. They’re a breathable lightweight material that’s easy to move it and are really comfortable! These are actually the in house Backcountry brand which is currently up to 40% off right now through December 20th!
These Backcountry ankle pants are the sort of thing you can throw on for any sort of outdoor activity like a simple walk in the neighborhood or exploring the marsh with your kids! Here I’m wearing them with this Backcountry mock neck fleece pullover, which is also part of their big up to 40% off sale!
Backcountry has amazing brands like Patagonia, The North Face, and Cotopaxi! Lilly was due for a bigger winter coat and this red insulated coat is seriously the cutest. It’s good for snow skiing and sledding as well, which we just might have in our future this year! And how cute is her little convertible waist bag that she so cooly swings over her torso? I’m going to be borrowing that.
And to give you a good idea of all of the amazing things on Backcountry, here is a holiday gift guide for all the outdoorsy people in your life! There is something for everyone here!

I tend to wear a lot of black in the winter months, so it alway feels refreshing when I put on some color. This outfit is so bright and cheerful it just makes me feel happy. This wool coat is the prettiest blue-ish green shade, and it has a clean and classic structure while still remaining soft and comfortable! It’s made by Halogen, one of the Nordstrom Made Brands! I love NMBs because they always feel fresh and current, and are a great value!
I’m really loving my periwinkle blue sweater paired with this coat. The colors are just so happy together, don’t you think? The Halogen sweater has a subtle metallic sheen to it which is a nice little touch.
Don’t forget that Nordstrom always offers free shipping and free returns, as well as a buy online and pick up in store or curbside option! And if you’re a Nordy Club member you’ll earn points and rewards with each purchase! Now is a great time to join before all of your holiday shopping!
