Charleston hit 33 degrees and it was all the excuse I needed to pull out my new lavender swing coat and matching purple pom pom beanie! This coat is so cozy and comfortable to wear!
It’s funny having a thing for coats when you live in a city that only requires them for a short period each year. But I do anyway. I love them all, long or short, printed or solid, fuzzy or sleek, structured or slouchy. Which is your favorite style?
That navy plaid Madewell coat with the attached matching scarf is so cool and is 30% off right now. And this faux fur camel jacket is so beautiful. And this wool wrap coat is a forever classic, is super flattering, comes in a few great neutral colors, and is 50% off!! :)
Good morning!! Despite my awkward posing I’m posting these photos anyway because I really like the outfit and wanted to tell you about my top :) Also please note that I just briefly removed my mask for these photos, super quick.
So anyway, this top is by Free People and is oversized and slouchy and cozy and perfect for cold days, like we had yesterday. I like the little mock neck and dropped shoulders. And I’m wearing my Frye lace up boots!
Today I’m sharing 11 new things that I’m loving! Starting with these new Mirth confetti pajamas. They’re made of the softest cotton and the bottoms have the most comfy ruched waistband. Where have these been all of my life? They come in a lot of colors, pants or shorts, and would be an awesome gift! I have the size medium.
At a dinner with Amanda Lindroth recently she used her bamboo frames as a name plate – such a cute idea and keepsake!
Mindy Kaling is one of my all time favorite celebs and I just devoured her new audible stories Nothing Like I Imagined. She’s the most entertaining storyteller. And I know I’ve mentioned it before but if you haven’t watched The Mindy Project then watch it next (it’s available on Hulu)!!
RMS’ new face oils feel and smell like heaven. They’re lightweight yet highly concentrated, and I’ve really enjoyed mixing them into my current routine!
My neighbor who is an eye doctor actually started this lash company! I bought the La Jolla lashes starter pack and my favorite thing about them is the serum pen that it comes with. It’s not glue, but it works like glue, while nourishing at the same time. Not to mentioned it’s easy to apply because it’s like a pen! So smart!!
I know that I’ve shared this Free People top before but I can’t remember if it was on instagram or here as well. Regardless it’s worth showing again – comes in black as well!
And I’m ending with my new dress that I want to buy in all the other colors it comes in. It’s a simple flowy shape with elastic detail on the cuffs and neck, and the metallic chiffon fabric feels special.
Happy Weekend! I’ve worn my new sweatshirt dress a couple of times now and realized that I don’t think I’ve shared it here yet. I love it so much! It’s so comfortable and casual. I wore it this week with my Everlane white leather sneakers, which are my favorite pair of sneakers to pair with dresses because they just have a nice and clean, low-key profile.
2020 has been the fastest slowest year that I can remember, and somehow it’s already November and the holidays are happily in sight. It’s my most favorite time of the year, and even though the holidays will be a lot different this year, I’m still looking forward to spending time with those that I love. Dressing up for festive get togethers (even small ones) is part of the fun, and nothing is as easy and versatile for me as a little black dress, like this Ulla Johnson dress from Nordstrom!
I’m heading to Utah with some girlfriends later this week and I wanted to find a long sleeve dress that I could wear both on the trip and then again for holiday celebrations. Nordstrom has so many of my favorite brands, so I did a quick search through their new black dress arrivals and came upon this new puffed sleeve mini dress from Ulla Johnson. It’s super versatile and can be worn with boots, heels, sandals, or sneakers! I’m wearing it here with my Tory Burch lace up boots. These boots are seriously one of my best purchases ever. I got them last year and have worn them so much. If you were to wear this dress with heels I think that these Mary Jane heels would be fun!
Don’t forget that Nordstrom always provides free standard shipping and returns, making online shopping so easy and convenient! And if you join The Nordy Club you’ll earn points and rewards with each purchase! Now is a great time to join before all of you holiday shopping!
Sweater weather is here in Charleston, at least this week anyway, and it feels good to finally feel 50 degrees again. I’m not saying I want it to last forever or to get any colder than this, but it is a nice change of pace. I love walking through the neighborhood and smelling fireplaces and seeing neighbor’s houses all glowy and cozy. Switching up the ol’ wardrobe is nice, too.
