We recently enjoyed a little staycation at the newly renovated Post House Inn in the Old Village. Every single inch of the hotel is gorgeous. Ben and Kate Towill of Basic Projects (you might especially know them from Basic Kitchen) are the new owners and are the genius behind the design and amazing menu at the restaurant. Here are some of the photos I took during our stay.

There are only 7 rooms in the Inn and they’re all special and unique. We were on the 3rd floor in room 5! I loved it.

Sampling the mini bar in my PH robe for the full experience.

The kids checked in with me so they could see the hotel, but stayed at their grandparent’s that night. Josh met me in time for cocktail hour and dinner at the restaurant downstairs, which is one of my favorite spots in Charleston. I’ve been at least 1 -2 times times every week since they opened. It’s nearly embarrassing but it’s true. My favorite dishes included the butterbean burger, the regular burger, the crab toast, and the fried chicken! And the fried polenta!!

Breakfast is included with your stay and is the most beautiful display. You can have it in your room or downstairs.

Note the wooden frame glass dividers for social distancing. Easily the most chic dividers ever.

If you’re looking for a great spot to stay and/or eat in Charleston you must check out Post House Inn. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Today’s focus is on pretty new things to make your home feel special. Decor with a lot of impact. I’ve compiled a round up of 12 accessories and pieces that I’d like to move straight into my house.

I want that little side table in every room. Seriously the cutest. And I have a real addiction to throws and blankets. I have more than I need but I just love them and the simple change they can make in a room. We have bamboo luggage racks at Coral House and I just think they’re so cute. They’d be great in a guest room. And those hand bent rattan baskets are blowing my mind. Look at the bigger sized one used as a planter!!

Gorgeous in any room for so many uses! Have a wonderful Thursday, Everyone!

Good Monday morning! I hope you all had a great weekend – mine was really busy and I wish that I could just stay in my bed all day watching netflix! It’s especially pretty and cozy right now because I just updated our bedding with Serena & Lily’s pretty bedding collection!

I wanted a change from the white bedding I’ve had for the last few years! My new Positano linen duvet cover brings a little more color to the room while still keeping it light and neutral! I have the eucalyptus color. And it is SO ridiculously soft and comfortable.

Have you ever tried linen sheets? I got the Positano linen sheet set and it is literally blowing my mind. SO comfy and luxurious.

This woven square sandbar tray is cute and versatile – perfect for so many uses and locations! I’m currently using it to hold magazines.

I love the saturated color that these leighton pillow covers add to the space. The pattern looks so pretty in the space.

Fresh bedding is really one of the most amazing feelings, don’t you think? Check out Serena & Lily’s gorgeous bedding collection right here!

Happy New Year! I hope you all celebrated exactly how you wanted to. We rang in the new year in NYC with friends and had an amazing night! We flew to Portugal last night and I’m so excited to be here! It’s my first time visiting, and I can’t wait to explore! We’ll be staying in Evora and Lisbon!

I’m starting 2019 with a focus on family, health, and happiness. And a few specific, albeit random, thoughts…

I want to cook more meals at home and order less Uber Eats (this recipe looks amazing, and easy!).

On that note, I want to spontaneously deliver more meals to friends and neighbors.

I want to travel to at least one state that I’ve never been to before, ideally out west.

I want to work smarter, not harder. Have you seen the new iPad Pro?? I’ve never had felt like I needed an iPad, but I actually really want one of these!

I want to go for more walks and finally replace my worn out sneakers (love this pair).

I want to declutter our home (it’s a nut house over here with the kids).

I want to go to bed earlier (total night owl here).

I want to do a dna ancestry kit.

I’m so excited to finally share a fun project I worked on with Peeps Paper Products! It was a dream of mine to have custom playing cards made for Coral House. So when I discovered LouLou and her incredible company Peeps Paper Products I knew I needed to make it happen. LouLou specializes in water color illustrated custom playing cards and paper products. Her whimsical designs have been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle Decor… And I knew her aesthetic was the perfect match for Coral House!

Above, you can see the watercolor illustration of our Coral House logo (designed by my amazingly talented friend Jackie at 42 Pressed) that LouLou painted for the back design on the deck of the cards. I knew I wanted the logo to be used prominently and this was the perfect place for it.

Next LouLou set out to create 4 illustrations for each suit in the deck. We wanted the deck to feel playful and fun (being a card deck for a Bahamas house and all), so we chose a vacation theme with a twist!

Each illustration depicts a different animal vacationing on Harbour Island!!

Golf Carting Flamingos – Anyone who has been to Harbour Island knows that golf carts are part of the experience. I love the flowers and palm trees backdrop.

Beachy Roosters  – Another Harbour Island staple, chickens and roosters are everywhere on the island. I love how LouLou depicted this guy under an umbrella with his picnic basket.

Snorkeling Birds – Obviously we needed to incorporate an ocean activity since our beaches are my favorite thing about Harbour Island. So we needed birds snorkeling, duh! I love the pink coral and the blue fish in this one.

Poolside Pig – This one is extra special to me because LouLou drew her inspiration from this instagram I posted at Coral House. Sure, we may have swimming pigs in the Bahamas, but this is so much better.

I couldn’t be happier with how these cards turned out. They’ll be perfect for Coral House guests! Thanks to my friend Alex at Over the Moon for introducing me to Peeps Paper Products (have you seen their special Charleston Playing Cards in their shop??). And huge thanks to LouLou for helping me bring this deck to life! I highly recommend you check out Peeps Paper Products, maybe get a custom deck of your own (they make GREAT gifts, are fun for bachelorette parties, weddings…)!
