So I surprised myself when I found as much Missoni greatness for Target as I did this morning.  I’ve seen so much about the collaboration the past few months that I’m nearly sick of it.  Nevertheless I’m not one to miss a good shopping trip, so Lilly and I showed up at Target at 8:50 thinking we’d be there in plenty of time.  Not the case, apparently women had been lined up at the door waiting for it to open at 8.  I’ve never seen so many young ladies swarming Target at once.  Was quite the party I must say, everyone was chatting it up with eachother.

There was still a decent assortment of Missoni left to peruse.  Lilly was really the one who made out on this trip, which was what I expected anyway.  I wish I could see the entire collection in person because I know that my Target didn’t have nearlly all of it.

I would link over to all of these items for you if ya’ll hadn’t crashed Target’s site today!  Geesh.

Like I said above, Lilly was the real winner this trip.  I adore the sweater dress and leggings.  And the ballet flats and rainboots may be my favorite.  I got the little boxes (+ one larger one that isn’t pictured) for Lilly’s and baby boy’s closets.  And then I snagged the vase and coffee mug for myself.  I don’t think I did too bad.

Did you stop by Target today?  What did you pick up?  I would have loved to have seen the bike!

Remember when I asked you for your own creative take on the brightly colored pants trend?  Well today I’m sharing your submissions, and they’re good!  Thank you to everyone who played along and didn’t leave me hanging (like the rest of you, I kid I kid).  This was so fun that maybe we’ll have to do it again in the future?

Let’s start with Almudena from Cafe Au Deux because her board is gorg and, well, she was the first one to submit!  Love it all.

You can see her Polyvore board with shopping links by clicking right…… here!ï»ż

Eileen from A Creative Day came up with a comfy cool look that I can see myself wearing while shopping along King St and lunching with friends.

Next up is the super cute Jordin from I Love That.  I like that she gives two shoe options because you can simply never have enough.

Check out her Polyvore board with shopping links right here!ï»ż

And I’ll end this pretty post with a twofer by Anna from A Newfound Treasure.  Check out both of these gorgeous outfits she created for us.  The ikat scarf reminded Anna of my blog header and inspired the second outfit.

See both of these Polyvore boards with shopping links HERE.

Thanks for creating these outfits for us today, ladies!  Now let’s show them some love.

Check it!  We’re back this morning with another draw droppingly adorable nursery from yet another design talent, Bryn Alexandra. Yippie yay what a great Monday!  A fellow southerner just a little north of me here in Charleston, Bryn rocks the house up in Charlotte on a daily basis.  I’m so honored to have my sweet friend visit today to contribute to the Nursery Design Series.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m SO excited to be a guest poster for Chassity on her beautiful blog; it’s easily one of my favorites. I got to know Chassity back in May at Blogfest and she is as sweet and beautiful in person as she is on her blog. In fact, while we were attending some events I noticed Miss Chassity wasn’t partaking in adult beverages and the thought crossed my mind that she may be pregnant. Well turns out she was and I’m SO happy and excited for her and her growing family.
It was fun playing pretend and making a little boy nursery – I decided to go with a preppy Federal-style spin. Thanks again for having me, Chassity!
Told you Bryn rocks the house.  How sweet is that nursery?  And don’t you love the cute ceiling fan that she found?  She’s not even a momma yet and she knows what she’s doing.  Sidenote: I’m trying to coerce her into joining in on mommyhood soon, so my Mommas- tell her how wonderful it is!  And Bryn, thank you thank you for the nursery eye candy today!  So funny you noticed my lack of “indulging” at Blogfest in NYC.  I was trying to be sneaky :)
I remember exactly where I was 10 years ago today, on September 11th, when reports broke of the first crash into the World Trade Center.  I was a sophomore at Indiana University, and had just parked my car to head to class.  The story unfolding was shocking and confusing and scary.  But I didn’t really understand the gravity of the situation until I got home and saw the news on tv.  The news that I know you all were watching too.
Ten years later as I remember these events and quietly watch 9/11 footage, I realize that with age my perspective has changed.  I was only 19 when the tragedy happened.  No question I was affected by what I saw and learned.  But in a way, it all seemed a little unreal to me.  Now I look at it through new eyes as a wife… mother… adult….  Hard to explain, but it’s eerily different for me now.
Today I would like to remember that day, honor those that were affected in ways that I’ll thankfully never fully understand, and give thanks to our firefighters, police officers, and first responders.  What an amazing country I live in.
Pretty much everyone is excited about fall fashion so today’s post is for, well, all of you.  And frankly this post is RIGHT up my alley too because I can and will be rocking cardis with my baby bump this fall.
I’ve gone ahead and done a round-up of some of Kokoon’s new cardigan & sweater styles that you can get your hands on now.  You’re welcome :)
I just love Kokoon’s collection and feel so lucky to be partnered with them – go check ’em out!ï»ż
