Goooood Monday!! How are you? I had a nice weekend – read a book (I’ve Got Your Number, it was really good!), went bowling, hit two barre classes, surfed the web. Sooo many good arrivals coming in that my head might explode. Have you been in the LLL Boutique lately? It’s looking so so good. I want it all. Here are a few of my favorites.

floral t-shirt dress, leopard dress, envelope clutch, equipment dress

lattice cutout maxi dress, zip detail poncho, silky romperwrap strap booties

stone stud earrings, stud gladiators, cropped boxy teeasymmetric black/white dress

I ordered the Equipment dress b/c it’s just such a good staple that can be dressed up or down. I got the small and it was a little too snug though, so order up. And I’m obsessed with that little red romper – the inseam is 3 inches so it’s not teeny tiny like a lot of them. And the wrap booties – pretty much the most perfect slouchy ankle bootie right now. They come in 3 pretty colors. Oh oh, I didn’t fit this one into the collage but you have to check out this layered shift dress… I don’t know if I like the pink or white most. I’m naturally drawn to the pink, but it looks like the perfect dress to get in white so you wouldn’t have to worry about seeing through it to your undies. What do you think?

Check out all my new favorite arrivals in the LLL Boutique. I update it daily.

You all need to run run run to Furbish right now (again with my bad language!) for Kate Long Stevenson’s pop up art sale that launches this morning. I have a few of Kate’s pieces and they are on a very edited list of most cherished things in my home. She doesn’t offer up her artwork in this price range often, so get down on it and buy now/think later. Plus you totally want to be one of the cool kids like some anonymous famous people that must go unnamed.

Good luck!! Don’t miss it.

This little birdy went to King Street. This little birdy stayed home. This little birdy popped truffles all day. This little birdy had none. And this little birdy cried “weee weee I got new bedding” all the way home.

Nothing smells like a new year like fresh sheets and towels. Do yourself a favor and shop the sale here. This with these is my favorite combo. And we use these towels and love them!

If 2014 keeps on like it’s begun then I’ll be purple from “pinch me” moments. I’m so so honored to be one of Southern Living’s “influential southern bloggers” sharing my spring trend predictions in the What You’ll Be Wearing in 2014 story. Spilling the beans, I’m really excited about boxy silhouettes and feminine pastel shades this year.

Luckily for all of us spring arrivals are flying in, making it really easy to pick up all of these trends. In addition to that mint Alexander Wang top up there, here are a few of my favorite pastel, floral, and/or boxy pieces right now…

PS: today is the last day of Shopbop’s 25% off sale! I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this top.

With the start of a new year and new calendar (I love this one), I always try to reflect positively on my intentions for the new year. Rather than focus on what I think I’ve been doing wrong or inadequately, why not celebrate a few of the things I’m proud of and want to carry with me into the new year?

doing right

I’ll leave it at 5, because starting off a new year with a big head wouldn’t be good, would it. Of course there is always room for improvement. So in 2014 I want to focus more on my family when I’m with them. As much as I love my iPhone, I use it way too much. It’s just such a habit. Another 2014 intention is to be a better meal planner. There are so many days that 4 o’clock hits and I have no idea what we’re doing for dinner and I just throw something together that I’m certainly not proud of. Lastly, I plan to develop my blog into a more creative space. I put a lot of my heart and time into this space and that is important to me. I want it to be a place that you all enjoy coming to. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your days past and, I hope, 2014. If y’all have any thoughts or ideas I would love to hear them.
