An edited shopping list for the men in your life.

prettiest bocce ball set that there ever was
jack rudy cocktail tonic (southern made by a southern gentleman)
fresh boxers – you know it’s time
And if he’s a bike riding kind of guy, I think this leather trunk would be really smooth. Like, really smooth. Oh and don’t forget a card, I love this one!

A couple of weeks ago I shared a peek of Sideshow Press’ new scout chic paper goods line (which by the way strays way past just paper goods). Courtney & Amy’s campy booth at the national stationary show was pretty much the marshmallow of the s’more (you get that, right?). And today I’m so excited to share with you a few of my favorite items from their new collection.

This here is a canoe pencil case. I mean, Lilly and Fletcher are going to need to have that for their craft closet overhaul.

Sideshow’s collection of cards are so quirky and fun. This one even has a scout patch!

But these handy notes here are my favorite of them all. Who doesn’t love a teeny tiny note pad?

And this wood veneer postcard is quite possibly the cutest correspondence you could send (or receive) all year.

Check out the whole collection right here, y’all! Nice work Sideshow Press!

It was amazing. We ate, we drank, we swam, we beached, we bruised ribs on the slip & slide (alright I didn’t), we lounged, we conquered. God bless America and those who serve her.

Good night.

Do yourselves a solid and hit up Old Navy’s website (b/c they do not have all this good stuff in store, trust me, I was there yesterday) and pick up these cute and inexpensive dresses. If there is one thing I’ve learned it’s that a fight in the morning over whether or not Lilly gets to wear a favorite dress is just not worth it. So I’ve invested in a bunch of $10 dresses that Lilly loves so that when she does want to throw one on to go get dirty in at the park, I don’t really care so much. Plus this stuff is adorbs.

Shop all these dresses right here! And while you’re there, pick up a romper or two. Another favorite.
These striped swimsuits in every color (they’re only $7).

And Lilly’s new favorite top.

Whew, summer wardrobe complete. Oh wait, not without Gap’s rainbow striped dress. Lilly chose this to wear to school today.

So stinking cute. How lucky we are that there are so many cute and inexpensive options for girls. The boys? Not quite as much… But there are some things. You could always stock up on all the new summer pj’s, too.

Okay, NOW we’re all set. Throw some towels and sunscreen into this $19 pom pom tote and she’s beach ready.

It comes in navy too, but I bought up the pink. Duh :)

When I think of motherhood one of the very first images that comes to mind is the family meal. Sitting around a big table with some home cooking just brings out the warm and fuzzies for me. Such pride is taken with serving recipes that are handed down through the family (like my granny’s chicken salad and my mom’s macaroni and cheese). It really is what family is made up of, you know?

What a treat it would be for your momma to have the tables turned (literally!) and sit her down to a beautifully presented Mother’s Day brunch.

And wouldn’t it be even better if one of those beautiful pieces on the table was a memento gift for mom to keep? A sweet reminder that would look pretty on her shelf and could also be used time and time again (for you know, when she’s back to cooking for you!).

And about that Otte dress… I saw Sally wearing it (the black color way) in Dallas and have been smitten smitten smitten ever since. She swears it’s the best dress ever and I believe what Sally says. It comes in this pretty blue, fuchsia, black, and white. You do have to look good and be comfortable at the brunch :)

I, of course, want nothing for Mother’s Day. But if my hands were tied behind my back and I absolutely had to chose something I would have to say that the loomed palmae food cover is pretty much tops in my book. Isn’t it incredible?

Now, what to serve…

This girl has started dressing herself. Some days I dig it more than others. This is one of those days…

There’s just something so amazing about watching a little girl blossom. Life’s good.
PS, thanks for the heads up that the bandana skirt was mis-linked yesterday. So sorry about that, but it’s fixed now. I love that skirt so much.
